Not sure where to start

Hi There

I am new to the world of internet marketing.

Long story short I have been through the mill with my own businesses and life in general - although I have been able to turn things around quite a bit, So I wrote an ebook and put it on amazon - Called How To F*%K It Up.

I had a lovely forward written by a well known chap in my industry. However I am looking for a way to market the book properly. Do we think the best option is to set up holding page for the book with a supporting blog and social media and drive traffic from that. Or is there some posts on here which cover the correct approach in a little more detail please.

Thanks in advance

G

There are many threads in this forum (and elsewhere) about marketing ebooks. Make good use of the "search" function.

It's always best if you ask one specific question at a time - not general topics like "how do I do marketing?"

    Here's just one tip.

If you haven't already, you should do some online research to identify where you can find the best targeted prospects for your offer (to sell the book). Those are the places you want to focus on for your marketing. Just throwing money at general ads hoping that someone will have an interest in your product is a great way to lose money and make no sales.

    The very best to you,

      Thanks Steve - much appreciated.

This is all quite new territory to me and I just wanted to start the ball rolling.

      Searching now.

I'm big fan of Facebook marketing, especially for books. You can get right in front of you ideal audience for fairly cheap and even gets some free exposure from likes and shares.

Thanks for the facebook ad suggestion as well - I think I have quite a bit of research to do to make sure I am taking the correct approach

I recommend setting up a YouTube channel dedicated to that book or your brand and start building a fan base on YouTube. You can do the same with Facebook and other Social media platforms but YouTube is my favorite personally.

      Thanks Terry

I did think about Youtube but lack a decent quality microphone - but it is certainly something I want to explore eventually.
