Quick question about branding

INTERNET MARKETING

I have a my own website where I promote web design services (primarily) but am getting into helping online entrepreneurs (designers, consultants, etc..) with internet marketing. I am creating a product to help them learn how to build a list for their business (not a "I'll show you how to get 1000 subscribers in 7 days on autopilot" kind of product).

Here's my question...should I get a separate domain for my product or set up a sales page within my website for branding purposes?

What is your intention for the product?

If the product is intended to be a tool to help develop your existing business, then you'll want to tie the branding together. If you're planning on the product as a stand alone source of revenue, brand it separately.

My rule is to aways keep businesses you may want to sell later on their own domain

I would separate the two.

You could always send a broadcast email to your clients and ask them if they want help with their online marketing. Then invite them to signup to your internet marketing list, then start marketing to them.
