Hey guys,

in my search on the web for discounts and stuff, i stumbled into a web host that offers the first 3 months for only 1$. it appears to be non-recurring.
Maybe this might be useful for those starting with IM and don't have a lot of funds to start off.

https://www.webhostface.com/dollar-offer

this is not an affiliate link, i just thought that some might find this useful

goodluck

There are hosts that only charge $1 per year. This is no great shakes.

Remember, you get what you pay for in life. Anyone looking to build a business on cheap or free web hosting will eventually get exactly what they deserve. Disaster.

If you can't commit to paying nominal charges to put your business on a secure platform from day one - you should just quit, now. This is 'loser' mentality.

    Cheers. - Frank

Think about what this promotion indicates.

Instead of attracting the higher value customers who appreciate good service, they're going after increased market share of...what?...

      ...$1 customers.

Cluttering up their support desk, their servers, and their other resources with the problems, questions and issues of $1 customers.

Not good. Repulsive, in fact, to higher value customers who value good service and have higher expectations. Those higher value customers who WILL NOT BUY $1 hosting.

Many hosting companies run promotions. Not so much from the really good ones. They charge a fair price for good service and don't really want to compete for a level of clientele that are generally more trouble than they are worth.

I practice the same mindset in running my own business. If a potential client approaches me and I can smell that their largest consideration is price, I refer them to my closest competition. It's a great way of knowing that my competition won't be around for very long.

BigFrank has a good point. When your "investment" and trust level with a hosting company is one dollar, how much effort do you think they're going to put in to help you when things go wrong?

Earlier this year, I upgraded to the next tier of support from my hosting company, and it's one that would be on a lot of people's (who haven't tried it, no doubt) No Way list.

This company has bent over backward to help me when my sites have been hacked, or I have a screwed-up plugin issue (which admittedly is from my newbie days...I can figure these things out now). In one memorable case support staff helped me for two hours, including a call back from them, with an issue I explicitly told them at the start was really not in their scope of responsibility!

Uptime has been good, much improved in the past 6 months (hmm, in line with when I got the upgrade), and loading times are decent.

Can $1 hosting deliver all that?

When you show no loyalty to them, why should they show any back to you when the chips are down?
