Networking with Others

What are some good ways to find others who are also doing internet marketing? I'm talking about in the REAL world. It seems like I'm the only person in my area doing this.

Any suggestions?

    JRock2015, you are already in one of the best places to find such people. Forums are an excellent place to start. I would also research some Internet Marketing groups/clubs in your local area. If you are on Facebook, you can also find several groups dedicated to IM that have members in your local area. You just have to do a little digging.

    It depends where you live, jrock, but in my neck of the woods we have a few local FB groups dedicated to IM. LinkedIn is another go-to for this, and then - as the chap above said - forums. If you notice someone you like who lives local, shoot them a private message.

    As others said above Linkedin, and Facebook Groups. Also search meetup.com for internet marketing groups in your area. The chamber of commerce where you live may also have people that do internet marketing.

    OK. Thanks for all the helpful suggestions everyone. I'll get started with facebook, linkedin, my local chamber of commerce website and meetup.com.




    Question: What should my search term be for sites like facebook, meetup.com and linkedin being that my location is Upstate New York?


    For example would I put "internet marketing + my location" or what? What has worked for you guys if you don't mind me asking?

    you can also try forming a relationship with a few marketers in your area over the internet first, or even through Skype channels for instance, and then after learning about these people, and their businesses, only then should you attempt to network in real life, and if you both are in a close vicinity with each other, that is. does this make any sense to you, by the way? sincerely yours, raiel schwartz

      Yeah it does. There are a lot of weirdos out there.

      Skype is something I hadn't really thought about but that's a great channel to commicate with like minded warriors

    I think you can try finding company around your area and ask for work. I mean there exists many photography companies, food companies and things like that. From what you say, I can see that you know about marketing. So, the assumption here is that you can write a good sale letter to sell yourself to these companies and ask them for a marketing position. Once you get in, you can meet many people who are doing marketing as well and you can do network.

    I second Meetup.com if you serious about meeting people up. Also, I believe FB is another good source especially if you know their location/

    The Warrior forum is one of the best place to find the largest group of people who are raelly working with the IM. I think most of the member of the Warrior forum, are related to the IM. Someone may learning the IM, someone may expert, but most of the people are working in these field. Thanks
