Be Real with Your List - And and Buyers will BUY from you even more!

The lesson learned that I want to share with my fellow marketers!

--------------------------
Be honest and be real with your list – and buyers still will BUY from you!

And… they will LOVE you for your honesty…

When you are building your list you have to make sure that YOU ARE REAL.

Don’t pretend you are this million dollar marketer that makes millions.

If you are NOT, then you are NOT. That’s alright! Being authentic will bring you closer to people.

I don’t like internet marketers that create phony results.

The truth is that you got to speak in your own voice.

Everyone got a personality and the worst thing you can do is to copy someone else.

Can you stay honest and still make a lot of money? YES!

In fact you can run your whole business just by saying the truth and still SELL like crazy.

The moral of the story is that you must be honest, authentic and believable. And you will win more friends, more subscribers and you will be a very happy person.

Cheers,

Gene Adam

Agree. However sometimes you have to highlight the features and benefits of your offer, during this process some people exaggerate things which takes honesty and integrity away from them. Impressing with cleverly formed contents in your advertisements through only facts and figures of your offer without making up something, is what creativity is all about. Sonetimes a very simple 2-3 line ad attracts a lot of leads/customers and sometimes a beautifully designed sales page having all required info, don't. Its during this non-conversion period that people start doubting the policy of honesty and integrity. But they should be patient and remind themselve the fact that a business is more successful if the relations with customers are good and if you attract the cuatomers by false info, you are forming the relation with a lie to begin with and so that relation will never be a long term...
A peaceful, patient and strong mind will understand the importance of honesty and wil never compromise it for the sake of quick results.

Good post. When I first started I tried to copy the gurus hype claims and had no idea what I was doing. Being honest and real is better. Buyers can relate to you more.

You can be real and you can be the best mentor to your list, but the fact of the matter is that a lot of people are just never going to buy from you even if you give them the best advice and content. You can build a great relationship with them but again, many of them will never buy anything from you no matter how well you serve them.

You got me there! haha...... That's true... You still need to train your list to buy from you... That's a good point. But nevertheless, they like REAL you more than FAKE you...

I agree with you. also you have to be valuable person who produce value not just honest reviews. copy & paste I got tired of this when I got started I was doing this mistakes. but what your subscribers want is to know who you are as a person and what value you can produce to them so they can follow you and look at you as a expert and maybe mentor

You've hit the nail on the head here Gene.

As an old school master of mine once said....

    "Honesty is the best policy"

With that attitude you can't go far wrong.

I notice you said " We are all selling something, but..."

...while that is true I tend to look at as "offering something" or better yet "providing a solution"

... it all depends on your mind set, approach or the way you look at it I guess.

  • I think this is a self promotion post. Let's have a quick look on this. You share an information about be real with the list so people will buy more. It takes time to write the post out. So, the assumption here is that you are real with your list and people buy heaps from you. If that is the case, why do you take your time writing this post as you are busy with all the sales and things? So, it is a contradiction. You don't have much sale at all and you are trying to drive out somebody to your business.
In addition, I can see that you have absolutely no idea about marketing and selling but just a person who thinks making money is showing people how to make money. Just look at the way you say "Don’t pretend you are this million dollar marketer that makes million". The "million dollar marketer" is the person who teach others about making money on the internet. This is usually happens in the internet marketing when people want to learn from the person who makes million. That is why they have to brag about "million dollar marketer". The "million dollar marketer" can do business by selling other things as well such as chair, desk, etc. Clearly, this is telling that making money online is about teaching others how to make money online. That is why you need to bragging about "million dollar marketer".

Now about marketing, I went over the hump off bragging. I had a car that I wanted and I already had a house that I wanted...

You can show your car or earnings(just a little bit) on the screen. JUST BE HUMBLE - that's all I'm saying... Don't be arrogant. If you do, people will hate you for that.

    Just my 2 cents.

imho .. Being real is definitely good. But if you are building a list and you have nothing to show to people, how much will they trust you? This is a very realistic and practical world. You can provide insane value to your list and still they take you for granted. Yes, you are helping them but aren't you also trying to profit at the same time?

If you are a saleman, do you have other choice beside selling??

    Great points, OP

Honesty and letting your PERSONALITY shine out are crucial.

If I may add something... Establishing your own PERSONAL BRAND is important to list building.

    You want FANS.

    You don't want LIST SQUATTERS.

    Big difference.

Highlight your personality so you can get people to BECOME LOYAL TO YOU.
