Mind Your Own Business

Fellow Warriors

You don't know me and I don't know you.

After what you read here you might want to slag me off, rip me to pieces and throw my bones to the dogs...

Maybe...

What I have to say is that while the Warrior Forum is a great place to meet and get life-changing information it is also the place to get "waylaid by bandits"

I know. Like you, I've been there, done that and worn out several T-shirts in the process.

So what is all this internet marketing business all about and how do you find the answers you are looking for?

Easy question with multiple answers... it makes us look like a bunch of blooming lawyers because you can never get a straight answer can you?

The truth of the matter is that you have to mind your own business.

Of course you have to develop a business first in order to mind it.

So how do you go about that?

Buy WSO's ?

Buy Software?

Buy Coaching?

Buy And, And, And ?

IMO you need to take a simple, step by step approach in ONE direction before you start exploring another.

For example, we all know the expression "The money is in the list" until we are fed up to our back teeth hearing it... until you start to build a list and then you want to know how to build a buyer's list and how to retain your subscribers and how to get better conversions on your splash/landing or squeeze page....

Man, "This is hard work" I hear you say.

Yes , it is and don't kid yourself into believing anything else.

You can search and buy whatever you like but at the end of the day if you don't put any of that
information or software into action you'll be like a Thanksgiving turkey.... totally stuffed.

Don't waste time in forums! Even this one, the best one on the planet... did you get me?

Don't WASTE time... use it wisely.

Build yourself a business and mind it with your life!

How? Come on, you know this...

3 simple steps and you've heard it before so this is not groundbreaking super-whammo-deluxe- ever-so secret-limited-time-offer-I'll-tell-you-when-you're-older type of information.

1. Build a splash/squeeze or landing page

2. Make an offer

3. Send traffic

Learn how to do that (there's a bunch of brilliant marketers here that will tell you how) and the proverbial oyster will become your world.

All you need to do then is mind your own business.

    Hello Herrador,

Don't WASTE time... use it wisely.

THIS IS SOME TRULY IMPORTANT ADVICE THAT ALL SHOULD TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION!

Time is truly the only asset that everyone has an equal amount of; it is what we do with that time that defines us as a person.

Where we have been, where we are and where we go is directly correlated to how we spend/use our time.

Good words man I like your take on this whole Internet Money Making thing.

Thanks and have a good one!

      Well said Jesse,

From that perspective we all start as equals but sadly we do get befuddled, confused and even intimidated along the way.

Taking a deep breath, an honest look at what you are doing and ultimately achieving in your own little sphere will soon put you back on track, keep things in perspective and keep your feet firmly planted on the floor.

one of the biggest problems faced by most people is that they do not see through things to the end.

instead of hopping from one plan, to another, it is better for an individual, at many times, to just focus on one thing, have faith in your execution of that one plan, and then to give it a great effort as well.

what you fill find what most people do instead however, is that they try something new for a day or two, then move on to something that is unrelated, and different, just because they get bored with not seeing results fast enough...

so if you rinse and repeat this typical mindset over a few years, it is no longer a surprise, as to why most people do not get anywhere with their own marketing ventures. or is all of this just foreign advice to everybody on this forum instead?

    Sincerely Yours,
    Raiel Schwartz

      Hello Raiel,

I agree with you on people hopping from one hot thing to another hoping to make serious money in a matter of days with little effort only to be disappointed time and time again.

I know this BECAUSE I WAS ONE OF THEM. Someone has woken me up to that fact is that you have to stay consistent and focus on one thing--you still may not be successful but the process of doing so will strengthen you and make you more likely for success.

Awesome stuff! This is great a talker!

      Thanks!

      I couldn't agree more. Raiel,

What people are up against is this... there is often a certain desperation for money in many people that are lured to internet marketing generally. I'll get back to that...

But first, let me say. I have been as guilty as the next guy in buying too many products. methods, software programs and gizmos over the years so I'm no saint... I have learned my lessons though.

For new marketers the problem is like giving the keys to the candy store to a 4 year old!

So many new, bright and alluring promises and then there are the expectations to deal with.

We all know there's plenty of money to be made and we are doing it right?

Don't hurry. Don't worry.... the money will come.

For new marketers the worst thing you can be is desperate... people sense, feel and almost smell it.

So here's my tip, for what it's worth... decide on what you are really comfortable doing online (which is more than just picking a niche) learn the necessary skills to perform those tasks and do it.

All you need is time and experience and you can't buy that.

I recently heard that the money is NOT in the list. The money is in the RELATIONSHIP WITH your list.

You really have to build a relationship with the people who are opting in to your list. I'm on A LOT of lists, but a few times a year I go through and unsubscribe from a ton of them because all they're doing is trying to sell me something without providing REAL value.

It's like, they either forget why they built a list in the first place - or more likely, they only built a list to make money.

So I think all marketers should keep that in mind.

The money IS NOT IN the list.

          Hello ksmusselman,

Wow just today I unsubscribed from a list for that very reason product after product off less then stellar value being offered by these people to their list--they don't even care if we want it or not.

Great advice as life is all about the relationships we have.

Any advice on how to best build those key relationships when it comes to list buidling?

          Thanks!

Email is a huge time waster. If I don't get value from being on someone's list, I'll unsubscribe. In other words, if all I get is sales letter after sales letter, I'm done.

It's really all about building a business.

    Everything else is just noise.

All of these people ask "How should I spend $xyz"

The universal WarriorForum response should be "What's your business plan?"
