How to use Article Submission as a traffic source?

So I'm kind of new to internet marketing and have been looking for traffic sources. Can I use articles as a traffic source and if so what sites should I be using?

Also if you have any suggestion on other good places to be traffic please let me know.

    You have a few options:

    1) Submit to Ezinearticles and article directories

    2) Submit to blog owners

    3) Submit to ezine owners

    4) Use on your own blog

    5) Use as email newsletter content

    6) Turn into Youtube videos

    7) Podcasts

    8) Etc.

    The best options in my opinion is to use them as modified email content, and newly custom designed Youtube videos (where you're talking and giving tips based on points in the article).
