What's the Best Way to Privatize a Domain?

I'm doing some local offline work and think it might be a good idea to make my domains private.

Is there a preferred way of privatizing a site, such as using "DomainsbyProxy.com", or do you think just going through GoDaddy is just as good?

I think godaddy is good choice as it is really reliable registrar. I don't see any reason why you should not believe them.

I've always gone through Godaddy. If you're really concerned about privacy, you could always set up a Nevada corporation with a nominee officer in addition to the godaddy privatization. You may want to consult a lawyer if you go this route.

I third the godaddy option and route. It's very straight forward and easy.

I always go through Namecheap. When you buy domains there you get free privacy guard. I think it ends up cheaper than Godaddy w/ domain + privacy.

SENuke too expensive? Create powerful automated web bots using UBot. Use discount code: BOTSALE before you buy.

The privacy guard (WHOISGuard) that comes with NameCheap domains is free for just the first year, though. After the first year, you need to pay for the privacy guard service.

Yeah, that's true. But if i'm reading it correctly, I think it's an extra $2.98 a year after that. I think Godaddy's is like $8.99 or something for their private domain registration.

I go with Netfirms because the privacy is included. I still have some with Godaddy, but with their privacy cost as well, it's more expensive.
