Understanding The Numbers

For year's I was shooting in the dark with my IM business. Sure I was making money but not to the tune that was possible in this industry.

As I started to understand my numbers and what my business was doing I was slowly able to increase my bottom line.

For example:

I want to set up a product for a campaign and we'll pick clickbank for this example. So I have found my product that is in demand and is proven to convert for me. I either purchase the product myself or I will write the owner and ask for a review copy.

I go over the material and make sure I see the benefit and it's something that I want to promote.

Then I create myself a little mini training so to call on this paid offer. My little training is going to provide value and actually have the prospect benefit from taken action on the free training and it's going to lead them into my paid offer. Not sell to them but lead them into it. No selling going on here!

Then its time to create my landing page based around my mini training and not the paid offer.

So I got my funnel all set up and now its time to get some data/numbers

So I run some good quality, targeted traffic either free or paid and I see that we'll say 3 out of every ten people I send are optin into my free training/report. 30% conversion! Not to bad, could be better. If I were to send say a solo ad I would want around 50, 60% plus but for testing and all of this I like this and I can build on it. So now I watch and monitor what my prospect is doing through my funnel process and lord and behold two out of every ten leads turns into a paying customer. Thats a 20% conversion rate. So now I know my numbers if I have small goal of say $50 per day and I'm selling a product that makes me $25 per sale so I need two sale per day. Now I know how much traffic I need to send on average to hit my two sales per day.

Earnings Per Click. Today your lucky to find 50 cents direct leading to the sales page. That's why its imperative we separate ourselves from the competition...
