How can I gain more Affiliates?

OK thank you James, thats already been done. I should of probably been more clear about whats already been done.

Basically I have all the affiliate tools you would ever need to promote a product. I am adding an OPTIONAL opt in for affiliates to get extra tips and techniques as well as resources when I think and create them. I am creating several eBook guides for promoting my product using several different Internet marketing techniques such as SEO, PPC.

I am currently testing the market for the product and have had about 25 sales up to now, over the past 30 days.

The posting flyers sounds like a great idea, something I had thought about but thought I was daft and not worth it however now someone else has mentioned it makes me think again, so thanks James.

Ha that sounds good, but then again I think people would just take it more as a joke.

I just had an idea what about Surgeries and Pharamarcies, and ooo I could run around hospitals and hand them out to all the sick patience, just not sure they would allow me to do that, perhaps kick me out

do a google search for related keywords in your niche, find all of the people who are promoting simialr products, begin to cultivate a relationship with them. then just mention somewhere down the line that you have a similar product with a better affiliate program

Thanks Nick, sounds like a great idea and something I could do in the long run however for a short term period where I can add affiliates throughout the next month to blast my product and then from there it will hopefully keep going with consistent promotion.

it doesn't really take long to establish a relationship usually about 3-4 talks with the person..

if you were to use this method the best time to start is now since it does take about a month to get rolling..

from my experience it is definitely worth it, even though it is not an over night solution is is higher quality, since they have already been promoting in that niche they already have an established presence and a list most of the time.

plus these relationships can be profitable for many other reasond in the future too.

I used this method one time and found an affiliate using a pen name, who just happened to be a very good friend of tellman knudson, which has opened many doors.

as far as an overnight solution, join an affiliate marketing facebook group and let others now about your affiliate program, of course it is beneficial to establish relationships there too, and not just randomly throw your link out there....

Althought Twitter is full of Affiliate marketeers and the likes of, I wonder whether it would be too much of a broad base for me to promote my product too.

  Your affiliate page looks really great. There is a lot of tools and information available there for people to pick up and start promoting instantly. The only thing I would suggest is to try and tell people some kind of conversion results. Affiliates want to promote products which SELL well with low REFUNDS.

  You could also try contacting large health related websites who have mailing lists. Its better to try and build contacts with a few big "players" with large mailing lists then get heaps of wannabe affiliate marketers who will struggle to sell any.

Hey Rory, thank you for your suggestions. I will definitely be adding some proof of conversions on the affiliates page soon. We have had about 30 sales however they are using different techniques I want to wait until we have solid marketing techniques with clear results before I add anything like that to the affiliates page.

The idea Nick mentioned I have already started doing and I did think about contacting some major health players too, something I will be doing soon.

Couple tips here:

1) Use caution since it's your first time, is my first humble bit of advice. You don't want hoards of people selling only to find out your product / program or other may be faulty right off the bat. Been there, done that, many an Internet marketer.

Examples:

a) Launched a membership site only to have it hacked immediately upon kick-off. Talk about chaos

b) Participated in a launch where for various reasons major players were unavailable right when the official launch time rolled around, leaving the "team" very, very, very short handed, to say the least.

c) Attempted to purchase from massive launches before only to find product faulty or severally lacking in quality and / or proper instructions, and for some physical ones, not delivered until very, very late - even months later, with little to no customer support at all in the meantime - and afterwards.

2) Also, it's not just a numbers game of the "masses" selling for you. Time and time again you'll find your best sellers are the top 20% or less, with 80% or more affiliates not having high or any results. So focusing on a few good affiliates can mean a world of difference: think JVs (joint ventures) and even higher profits for them or other rewards.

Thank you very much for your words of wisdom.

I am trying to be cautious as I do not want to muck this one up, its a great oppurtunity for myself and the affiliates however I am looking for quality affiliates not just getting anyone involved but then again I am also looking for new affiliates because I want to teach them too, I don't want to just provide affs with resources I want to teach them all that I know so it can help for not only this launch but launches in the future.

I think I have always been in this mode of IM since I created my IM blog several years ago.

Anyways, thank you for the tips I am definitely looking for quality over quantity however it doesn't do any harm having some beginners in the mix so I can teach. I am looking to build a relationship with my affs not just exploit them or anything like that, hell I think I might set up a date advertisement because thats what it sounds like ^^

The affiliate market is also quite saturated now, and most of them would prefer to market tried and tested products. So if you can show that you have a high conversion rate, you may be able to convince some affiliates to join your program

Thank you, it seems that many affiliates from the advice I have been given want tried and tested products if thats the case then I shall promote the product myself using several types of Internet marketing before my big promotional campaign. I will then add these results to my affiliates page so affiliates can see the proof that my product does convert, and converts well.

Have you thought of using AdWords going after people who uses phrases like "affiliate program" "join affiliate program" and "make money affiliate program"? ("migraine affiliate" had 16 searched in June... )

Nice affiliate page. Well done. I would really think about using your members to promote for you. You already have their trust, and they believe in your product because they purchased it or are on your email list. It's not to difficult to get your list(if you have one) to be your affiliates. If the conversion is working well, your little army will get big real fast.

Hello Lom, thank you glad you like it. I have thought about doing this but because they are customers and not exactly linked to affiliate marketing in anyway, I thought it would be a little weird asking them however I am definitely going to look into doing this, perhaps word of mouth or something.

Consider hiring an assistant who works for 2-3 hours per day simply finding potential affiliates and contacting them.

You could pay $10 per hour and if they found just one affiliate every day who makes two or three sales - then you'll make your money back.

The assistant can be in charge of finding the affiliates and then emailing them. For the bigger affiliates, they can send letters or phone them.

To motivate them to work even harder, set up a 2-tier affiliate program and give your assistant a 10% commission of all sales that their sub-affiliates make.

Hi Willy,

That is a GREAT affiliate page. I wish more of them followed your example!

One of the most overlooked factors to attract more affiliates is the emails you send out to recruit them and the emails THEY send out to get others to check out your offer. Likewise with blog posts. If you really want to shine in this area, have a look at the special offer I have going on (see signature on recruiting super affiliates).

You give them lots of good blog topics to write about, but giving them some actual text can help as well. The bottom line is, you want to make it practically effortless for people to want to promote your offer. You've done great so far - hopefully these tips can take your affiliates to the next level.
