Hey,

Is it possible to make potential income from being behind your computer without having to do any videos whatsoever? Take for instance if you're in a network marketing company can you succeed without showing your face? I know it's funny that I ask this but I wanted to get your opinion. If you just started out, did a few advertising, and you have multiple opt in already.. but no sales yet, and say that's been less than a week only. Do you think that eventually you'll need to do your own videos for whatever biz your in? Lately I've been thinking about making videos but I'm no professional speaker. Tell me your experience.

No. You don't need to make videos with your face in them to make money on the Internet.

Why would that be a precursor to success?

You don't need videos. Why would you "need" them? Books still sell, and everything you do you can do through text too.

People want the content, have been reading for thousands of years, and most of what we do on the internet (probably more than half) is reading.

Because I've seen few people that doesn't do business with people who don't reveal themselves. And they bash on others who doesn't show themselves. They think they are the real deal.

Well, it ultimately depends on your business model.

If you're selling coaching services ... you'll probably need to put yourself out there.

If you're running CPA offers ... you don't need to make any videos or include your name anywhere.

        What is your business model?

I don't think that it would make a difference with what you're doing. But, you could always try that (if you're so inclined) and see what happens, perhaps you'll find it'll affect conversions but perhaps not. You won't know unless you try.

We are living in a world where more people watch videos online more than anything else. Having a video that promotes your product will increase your conversion rates. It's up to you if you want to show your face but I don't think it's necessary.

Thanks guys, I'll think about it.

If I can get more sign up I will do it for sure.

I need to expand my circle because most of the people on my friend list are losers. They don't help like and comment my post. I need to get rid of those people.

Just because it is video doesn't mean it shows your face. There are freelancers who can "animate" what your trying to show. You can also partner/hire people to be in the video for you. I have yet to see a GM executive in a local car dealer commercial, but they are still selling GM. I have partnered with multiple people to do voice overs and videos for them in exchange for other things.

I assure you video is not necessary to make good money online. Even great graphics aren't enough to make good money online. You can add as many bells and whistles as you like to your site, but... only 4 things may happen:

    1) Page load time will decrease

    2) Your page might freeze due to too much java/scripting going on

    3) Visitor won't come back

    4) You will waste money

They say that to get people to attract to you, you have to do videos to allow people to come get to know you to build trust. This is attractive marketing. I often find myself having to chase people all the time. Some people does liked my post but that's all they can do. I be like stop liking the post and sign da fk up. LOL!

Likes do not pay bills. Sales does.

I think I'm having the wrong people on my list. I need to go make more friends.

No not at all. Quite honestly not unless you have an excellent presentation or stage presence it is usually a disadvantage that you include yourself in your own videos.

Videos do however increase engagement. But you can have someone produce an explainer or animated video which is usually more engaging for users anyway.

It is true that people who show themselves get the advantage. It is most likely to increase trust.
But, there are some that we only know through their usernames or pen names, yet trusted and reputable.
The thing is, what you offer to your audience is what really matters.

    yes you can

but keep in mind everyone has a different way in digesting information

    some need txt

    some do it by audio

    others are visual

my customers keep hammering this point across when I release a product that does not have all those elements available to them

    food for thought

"Is video necessary?" Well, video and many other mediums are necessary to market your business. And you don't necessarily have to put your face out there. You can create informative value-driven videos to help your market. You could just as easily create content that's informative to your market -- whether through video, an e-book, article etc. The key is the same thing we hear time and time again... ADD VALUE. Think about your market. Who are they? What do they want from you? Give them free content that adds value.

You also need to ask yourself if they prefer to read or to listen/watch. If you can take one medium of content like an article and then make it into a video, PDF, audio and even make it visual with the use of image content, you're sure to grab the attention of not only the search engines, but also your target market (or most valued customer) by expanding your reach. You really can't go wrong. The more content you have (using various mediums) the better!

It's amazing how many people find you that way.

Showing your face demonstrates trust, especially when you smile. People don't always buy what you have, they buy a "feeling", or security. For example, why do we buy insurance? Because it makes us feel safe. Hope that makes sense.
