Clothing Website for Women

I want to start an ecommerce clothing website for women specializing in leather. My question is how do I get enough inventory to start out?

Or are there other ways like dropshipping? The clothing is very specialized so (leather clothing is hard to find).

    Drop shipping or sourcing.

More than likely, drop shipping will provide very small margins ... however, less money upfront.

Sourcing, you can customize your products and get greater margins ... but, more money up front.

You can also partner/affiliate with leather dealers.

The bummer about sourcing is most companies are in China or overseas. And I have found that those companies have differing sizes as compared to U.S. womens sizes. For instance, a "large" coat from China will barely fit a petite women over here.

I would like to source from U.S. based companies but that would lessen the margins by a great deal.

Where would I find sourcing companies? I have a large variety of products

dropshipping is the less risky alternative!

My advice is to start with dropshipping. after than you can stimate what to do: if continuing with dropshipping or have a warehouse stocks

the problem with dropshipping is there are just not that many companies that currently make the specialized clothing I am looking to sell. Or at least that is what it seems.

Because the products range from purses, to pants, to sweaters, ect. Will I be able to find a dropshipping cimpany that can cover a majority of my products?
