Default Questions About Buying a Camera for Video

Hi all,

I've been considering buying a camera for posting and using online videos. Several people have recommended the Flip camera. I noticed that it doesn't have a screen that swivels out though. So if you're shooting yourself, how in the world do you know if your shot includes your head or just the sky (or ceiling) behind you?

I'm confused and want to make the right decision.

Thanks,
Michelle

Josh Anderson is the expert on this subject.

There have been several threads in the past
on this topic as of 6-8 weeks ago I think..

Do a search in the forum. You should find your
answer.

I would recommend a flip camera just because the ease of uploading and the quality that it provides when making videos. I would recommend asking a friend to help you shoot videos or do a couple test shots and see where the camera is actually lined up with

A Flip Ultra with one of those mini tripods work great. Might as well get it in HD!

Use a "WebCam". I've had sound problems with MicroSoft's LifeCam and went to the Logitech QuickCam. (The top of the line is only $80 as I recall)

Easy to make and upload Videos. And, you can see yourself on your pc screen while filming so you can stay inside the frame at all times.
