Do you put your tracking software on a VPS?

I read that if you don't want to pay monthly fees for a tracking software and prefer one-time fee for a tracking software, it's best to install the software on a VPS.

Is that true?

It's is advisable to put your tracking link on a separate hosting preferable on a VPS with a unique IP on it.So that you won't loss any clicks if your website goes down also so you don't stress your server with when a sudden influx of clicks went through.

Server slow down might cost you a lot of money or even ranking on SEO(if you are doing SEO)

I think it's not about saving money.... I would advise to put your tracking software on VPS as it's resource intensive and you can't loose your your tracking while dealing with traffic and conversions.

Moreover, accurate data is very important for business analysis.
