Here's my take on the top, middle and low end of membership site software (in that order):

1. http://www.membergate.com/

2. http://www.amember.com/

3. http://www.membershipease.com/

I use wishlist member using wordpress.

I can't recommend it highly enough. The best part is using the comments, your users can interact without requiring the setting up of a forum and its not a stagnate site.

Have a look at the vid in my wso and it will show you an example of a site that is using it. Note when your not logged in you can only see Home and welcome. Log in and all the other pages come up.

Getting setup with your own membership site is one of the best things you could do to generate a full online income that can support you and your family. Just putting up a website is not going to make you that income that many promise you. You must be willing to create a site that will offer value to your members and offers high quality products.

Setting up a site that will solve others problems is the best way to go as you are offering a solution to those that need that solution. Keeping up dated and over-delivering to these members will help keep those members paying your monthly fee every month.

Now there are some that try to tell you that setting up a membership site can be done in 10 minutes and for free. Do not listen to this rubbish because the fact is you must offer great value, high quality products, and you must be willing to put an effort into building your membership site. Yes your membership script that you choose to use "DOES MATTER"...

By creating your own unique products you will take your membership further than just slapping up a bunch of old and out-of-date junk resell right ebooks. A membership site is not about that at all, at least not a "real" membership site. It is not that hard to create your own products and produce a very nice membership site, but it does take time and work.

www.easymemberpro.com is a very good membership script to use especially if you are a newbie. (And before I'm jumped on, I don't own it any more remember)

Anthony Hull (who owns it now) is making some fab changes to it, and it's going to tick everyone's boxes when he releases the updates, which I believe are going to be quite soon.

Cheers
Kim

Nanacast is fairly simple to implement and among the best of the best when it comes to capability, features, and ease of use.

http://nanacast.com

I guess that means you should put us in the "Top" list ;-)

But my question is why would you want to list middle and last place solutions?

The way I look at it is that Top solutions should increase your profit potential and the lesser solutions would decrease your profit potential. Any perceived savings you would have by using lesser solutions would be dwarfed by the thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue you loose by missing out on integrated features like upsell funnels, coupon systems, multiple format content delivery, and affiliate management.
