We all know it used to be Sitepoint but since it changed to Flippa, it seems that the no. of bids the sites are getting are really pathetic. I just had a look at the bids at Flippa and many sites that are ending in 1 day or even a few hours are not getting any bids.. and these are established sites that are making money. As for the WSO section for site sale, although there are a mixture of new and established sites, I find that it seems more geared towards newly built sites. I"m wondering where would be the best place to sell established sites now? Any thoughts? |

probably not fair to blame flippa entirely - it's a pretty tough economic climate and people are holding on to their money. could be some good deals there though for people in buy mode.

Choying, I'm looking into this myself. Let's make note to keep each other informed of our respective findings. I just had a look at ebay and the completed sales of websites were exactly as you said 'pathetic.' Warmest Regards, Marcus P.S. Well, there's the thought of selling the sites 'offline' too. But that's a whole different ball game. |

I have high hopes for sitedeal.org as it develops, but it's new market-place and still has a few things to iron out (Does it work with the Chrome browser? Not sure if it needs to be configured to work with Chrome, or I have to configure Chrome to work with it). At any rate it is a promising site and I expect it to develop nicely. Thanks for all the feedback. This is actually a good time for those who are into investing in sites to grab some goodies for cheap. I've seen sitedeal.org when it first came out .. I'll take a 2nd look at it again. |

I've just received a mail from Domainers University (must have subscribed a while ago to their mailing list) about a new site that deals with domains and site flipping, called: Sell My Website, domain name, or web services. Free marketplace to buy or sell website - SiteBin., anyone heard of it?

Things are tough all over. It's hard to evaluate how good the different sales venues are doing specifically right now because of the economic slowdown. I'll agree with the above poster though... it could be a good time to be a buyer. |
