Hi Everyone,

Which "Travel Booking Blog" you like most from following three. Your Input will
really help me with my project.

Travel Booking Blog - Design 1
Travel Booking Blog - Design 2

Thanks in advance,

the first, the third one is for my opinion to fancy...
but the first one should have a big screen like on the third one with "
      Where

      Your Destination
      When

      CHECK IN

      and so on...

Design 1 certainly appeals more to me. Good use of colours, a user friendly format and the save up to 80% is attractive which is ideal for keeping customers more intrigued about what you have to offer.

I'm not too sure about the "book now" on popular destinations. I think you should incorporate at least HD videos and an article to sell the vision. This will certainly help new people.

Get an opt-in form above the fold. It's certainly worth testing. Obviously you'll be re-marketing to your paid customers, but this will help give you an edge to pre-sell and advise new potential customers about your offers.

You may even consider asking them to fill out a survey and for those that do can get a chance to win a 5-10% discount coupon on their holiday purchase anywhere in the world.

Another suggestion may be to consider implementing Trip Advisor widgets.

    All the best.

The third one says: We have the easiest system lol why do I care, as a customer I wanna know the best deals and why I should book from that site instead of booking.com or hotels.com or expedia etc.

Anyway, if I was to choose from above three, I'd say #1

  • I do this sort of consultation a lot for my clients, quite a varied set of designs.

1 is the cleanest and has a nice balance of colours. it certainly makes me think of a happy summer holiday.

    2 is terrible

3 is nice but i thought the main image slider took up too much space. Its got a nice call to action which allows the user to search for a holiday.

The rest of the page is nicely designed too.

I think if you could combine the call to action of design 3 with the aesthetics of design 1 you'll be onto a winner

Second Design Travel Booking Blog - Design 2

which is least or no favourite is a site of mine. In fact I really wanted to figure out what's really wrong with this site. This will be a huge learning experience for me.

If you can please indicate that What you would be changing from this design,

      1) Color Scheme.
      2) Slider.
      3) Popular Destinations Section.
      3) Or "Post Preview Area" below "Popular Destinations".

Once again thanks a lot everyone. Your feedback is big learning experience for me.

        1. Colors- the other sites has blue relaxing colors, that I want to see when thinking about a vacation (: and the first color we see on your site is black...
        2. The yellow banner ( 'Travel the world' ) in my opinion looks like a commercial that has nothing to do with the site so just wanted to scroll down.
        3. I kinda like the 'Popular Destinations Section' (:

        Good luck!

          Thanks a lot SapirVelis,

This is great help. If you don't mind telling that what you think of Video Posts Preview section below "Popular Destinations". If this look ok or bit over?

          Thanks Again

            Looks good to me.
although I think you should consider 2 things:
            - The title appears twice- on the picture and below it. Maybe it's not necessary and you could keep only one of them and then the page would be 'cleaner'?
            - Maybe you can make the 'Video Posts' or the 'Popular Destentaion' in a different shape. It can create a seperation between the 2 sections and could make the sites looks more interesting , I think.

Took a look at the new #2 design. Here are the issues I have with it:

                > "Subscribe for Travel News and Exclusive Offers!" is boring, even with the exclamation point. You need to give people a real reason to subscribe, even if it's just a chance to offer their feedback or rating. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting "travel news" in any form of media - print, online, TV, radio, etc. So there's no real reason to add you to the list. I'll deal with "exclusive offers" in my next point.

                > Ditch the grayed out logos of those other booking sites. It screams "just another aggregator site" and reminds them of the sites they just heard about on TV, on the radio, in that travel mag in their mail today, and likely even in the inbox. Kind of puts the lie to your promise of "exclusive offers".

                > Ditch the Bluehost banner in the footer. If I'm planning a vacation, the last thing I'm thinking about is web hosting, and you want to keep it that way. If you really feel like you're going to strike it rich with the affiliate commission, put it in a "Resources" page or section of your About page.

Don't take this the wrong way, but quit thinking about how to make money and think about how you can give your visitors something they can't get on those other travel sites, something they actually want.

Clearly I think everyone has said that Theme #1 was the most appealing. The colors are right, it makes me feel like I'm about to go on a great vacation, and when I scroll down, the hotel pictures get me excited to go to some place new.

Contrary to everyone, I actually liked Theme #2 second best up until the slider loaded (my internet was going slow ) You are really featuring the various vacation spots with some nice images and have some blog posts that seem interesting. If you could bring in a simplified header and color scheme over the slider and relate your articles more to how I could travel to these crazy cool places, I think you would have a winner. Something like "Top 10 Beach Resorts You Won't Believe You Can Afford" or something along those lines. Good luck!

Thanks a lot man for the input. So you want the slider to be changed right? Maybe some exotic beach pic in the background with some exciting text if I picked you..right??

Overall, it's okay. I'm not a big fan of the big slider. It wastes a lot of real estate. If it were me, I'd add a clickable button offering a case study of how someone saved (or could have saved) 80%. Clicking the button would pop up a subscription form.

On the same theme, the popular destinations grid just kind of lies there. I would spice up the headline a bit. Off the top of my head, I'd use something like "How Many of These Exotic Destinations Would You Visit IF You Could Pick 5 Instead of 1?" Get them dreaming about visiting the Maldives or Paris, or...rather than making them take the leap from "Popular Destinations."

Otherwise, I think you are on the right track.

I wish you could take the top 1/3 of #1 to replace the annoyingly large slider on #3.

I like #3, with the exception of the slider that pushes everything important below the fold.
