Buying and Reselling Digital Products

Hello everyone,

So I wanted to get into the game of buying and reselling online, but I was curious if there were more virtual or digital items that this could be done with, such as domains or websites (but I'm looking for ideas other than these two).

I would really appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction, thank you!

if you are really looking to get into buying and selling online, I would recommend you to start with affiliate marketing of digital products and clickbank is the huge place for digital products.

Register yourself to clickbank.com and select product under your niche to promote. But you may need to know how you can do that.

There's all kinds of stuff you can do that would consist of buying and selling.

There's various forms of arbitrage to get into. Anything from Service Arbitrage (such as: SEO services, Graphic design services, Web development, etc), to Amazon to eBay arbitrage.

If you take the time to spiff it up and add value, you could simply grab some PLR products and flip those for a profit.

You could even purchase the rights to Mobile Apps, and sell those for a profit.

All kinds of opportunities out there. You just have to do some research to find those opportunities and be creative with them.

As the reply above says, there's lots of kind of stuff you can sell online.

You will have no problems finding what to sell. The more important question would be HOW to sell them!

In other words, the traffic generation part.

You will need a lot of targeted traffic to these products in order to make good sales.

I would suggest you to invest in your internet marketing education and learn all about traffic generation online, before you even start looking for products to sell.

Once you have the traffic generation part going, then you can start to find what you could sell, in your niche of course.

Learn the many ways to generate traffic online, and then find what to sell. And take a lot of consistent action driving traffic to your landing pages for the products you are wanting to sell online.

    It is a simple concept.

Niche Product's Landing Pages + Targeted Traffic = Leads = Sales

    You get what I mean?!

I wish you all the best on your new journey!

    And welcome to this industry!

Go check out SEO Clerks and put a package together - filter by the $1 menu and resell on Fiverr - then start reselling Fiverr gigs.

Or start looking at writing services - there is a huge disparity between costs for good writing.

You might want to try what I've done - you'll need to register an account with e-Junkie first. Purchase good-quality PLR (Private Label Rights) e-books from The PLR Store. Do whatever editing is necessary and save the e-book as a PDF, then upload it to e-Junkie.

E-junkie handles all the orders, distribution etc. and credits your Paypal account with any sales proceeds. They even have an affiliate program where you can invite affiliates to promote your e-book for a commission. This is a method I learned from Pat Flynn of SmartPassiveIncome.

Good advice...That's what I was gonna suggest, the only difference is use eBook Junkie | Download Free eBooks

It's only $15 or something trivial to register a 1 year account and you have all the PLR and Master Resell Licenses on any topic that you want for free. Most of the times they also give you a website ready to be uploaded with the ebook too.

What I used to do, I'd go to these networks like Clickbank and many others, and sign up to their programs and give it 100% commission. (I know on clickbank you can only give up to 75%), but the idea is sell it for a $5 and 100% commission to affiliates. Rinse and Repeat on many affiliate networks.

You only need 1 hosting account, and buy bulk sites for 0.99$ each. Soon you have 100s of affiliates promoting you and building a list for practically no investment cost at all.
      ----

Sry this part is on off-topic rant, but I really wonder if people here actually just want to do nothing and get everything handed to them. Even when you give someone the holy grail of what to do step-by-step, it seems that nobody applies it, or goes out of their way to thank you, or probably they don't recognize the value of the information you're giving them, cause it's free so they think "Ah what they heck, there's no free lunch".

As already mentioned, Arbitrage is a great way to make some money by buying and reselling digital services. There are less risks involved. Basically, you find a client looking for a certain service, eg, to create a video presentation. Then you find someone who would do the job for less than what the client is paying and you get to keep the difference as profit being the man-in-the-middle.

Buying, selling, and customizing mobile apps is where all the hype is right now. Even if you just buy templates, outsource the development to customize, and re-sell you're going to make money.

Google 'iOS templates" to get an idea of what's out there. Find a developer to customize on oDesk or Freelancer then re-sell to your clients.

Several people are mentioning the arbitrage method. Although it works, realize a huge part of your biz will be marketing your services. You will constantly be in the search for new clients. I would somehow try to capture each customers email address so you can market your services to them whenever you want.

Here are a couple different options when it comes to buying and selling virtual or digital products online.

-Ebooks are the most popular digital download. You can buy PLR content and post as your ebook on places like Amazon, Kindle, Ejunkie, or DownloadFreeEbooks.
-Photography is a huge industry but has a lot of competition. You can buy and resell but can make more if you actually take the photos. Some places are Photocrati, SmugMug, Zenfolio, DigiLabs, Shutterfly, Zazzle, iStock, or Shutterstock.
-Graphics and Themes are another option that are very popular at the moment.
-PLR Music, Courses, Videos, Software, Apps, Tutorials, and Lessons are also great options for buying and reselling.

You can actually start with buying and selling websites. That's how I got started and that's what I am doing right now. You can start with as low as $1000-2000.

The best and cheapest way to start is to affiliate for someone else. You can go to clickbank and check them out. Most of their vendors are pretty good about supplying good ad copy and other support.

You could hire writers from elance to compose high quality articles and then sell those as PLR articles at $9 - 10 per article on your own site.

Nicole Dean does exactly this on her site - www easyplr dot com. If you go there you'll see the popular niches that she sells to. i.e. health, fitness, etc.
