I have a problem. I want to take action but i feel that i still don't know much!

Over the last year, i focused on learning email marketing. I watched videos, read articles, bought WSOs and i almost made a plan. But the problem is, i feel that i SHOULD know more and learn more because i'm afraid to fail.

What's the solution?

The solution is to fail and know you are going to fail each time you try.

    Failing is fun.

      i'm afraid to fail.
      And? What would happen?

You might lose a little money - but aren't you spending money now on WSO's etc?

You might be a bit embarrassed personally - but most people wouldn't even notice the failure except you.

In your mind, 'failure' is a huge and frightening beast. IN reality - failure is one step closer to getting it rigth...it won't kill you, it won't break a bone or give you a concussion.

Remove the words "success" and "failure" from your vocabulary.

Start TRYING - and judge your attempts by "it worked" or "it didn't work".

I'm sure you know more than you think.
What is it that you want? If you haven't setup a goal this is the first thing you need to do.
Then work your way up via failing and success.
Don't be afraid to fail. We all do from time to time.
The main thing is to learn from it so you can avoid it in the future.

    Good Luck

Make your focus on getting traffic and solving problems, not making money. The pressure goes down dramatically.

Besides, they aren't failures. They're just not the best way of doing things.

If you're still trying, you haven't failed.

"Failure" can teach you something that is literally priceless. (As in, it can't be purchased with money.)

It teaches you how to succeed. One of my favourite affirmations is: "I'm not afraid of failure, because I'm always learning."

If you study the success classic "Think And Grow Rich" you will find that a great percentage of the very wealthy and successful people at that time had their greatest success right after their greatest failure. Why? Because (like Kay mentioned) "failure" is a stepping stone to success. A learning process. Something that can teach you how to succeed.

Try looking at it like that.

Just know that your fear is the only thing holding you back .

Jump over it - and amazing things start to happen.

Most people have great ideas but can't get past the fear.

Or they think they need to know everything in order to start. You don't. Just jump right in.

If you purchase a WSO and it's outdated, you should get your money back. And notify the platform it was sold through.

I remember that feeling. I've been in IM for 6 years and I STILL feel like there's so much to learn. Try to stay humble. It will keep you learning.

Also, start getting comfortable with failure. It doesn't mean YOU are a failure. It just means you haven't figured it out yet. Just know that it could take some time.

That is a loser's mentality and it will never get you anywhere in life. Either get to work building a website or start researching. No matter what you do though, make a plan and stick to it. Then find a hunger to succeed and stop making excuses for yourself.

There is not a single person on this entire forum that can make you successful, and no amount of knowledge will overcome not having a desire to be successful. People dream about it all the time but very few take action, and you my friend are one of the dreamers. So either stop dreaming and get to work or accept that making money online is not for you.

    • Remember, there is always a price for education. College has tuition and time comittment. Online marketing has a similar learning curve as anything else. The difference is, you are able to design your own curriculum.

Failing is part of the process of success. You'll learn faster and know what to focus on when you discover the "real life issues" that you'll have once you start trying to earn money.

As Jim Rohn has said, "there never will be just right water to jump in". Start the process, jump in, evaluate, learn, adjust and continue to implement smarter each time.

Are you waiting for someone to call you a "guru", and then feel *complete* that your quest is ready to begin? Take action. Asking us how to do a super-simple technique in a WSO you bought (like getting a blog) isn't going to make you money anytime soon.

The best solution would be to NOT be afraid to fail!

If you are too afraid to fail, then you will get stuck and freeze up!

The best way to learn is to Fail. There is no way around that. Even the best marketers fail.

The problem is that you are thinking that Failing is not good - when in reality failing is a MUST, in order to learn.

You will not be able to learn if you don't take massive action. And when you take massive action, you will fail and make mistakes.

I was also like that at the beginning. I was too afraid to fail. But that only hurt me more than it helped me.

I started to learn more when I started to just take action and take risks. No risks, no rewards.

Listen to the successful people in life. Learn from them and get inspired by them!!

Steve Jobs said .... "you have to take risks, you have to be okay with failing, and be okay with crushing and burning ..." .. that is the best way to move forward!

You have to be constantly moving forward in this business. And being too afraid of failure will paralyze you!

You should be taking a lot of action by now. And learn from the mistakes you make and the failures you come across.

    Be okay with them!!

We all have failed a lot at the beginning, and that is what we needed to go through in order to learn best!

I wish you the best of the best!!

Enough investing in courses, wso's, coaches, etc... Just take the information you've learned and put it to use, take action!

I know it's really not easy, but for me the way I've overcome procrastination and not taking action was by setting working hours to make money online. During these hours my only focus is to work as hard as I possible can and ignore everything else, forget about messing around on Facebook, YouTube, etc and just take that first step of action.

Once you're a few minutes into it, it becomes a hell of a lot easier to keep working..

Marketing is so dynamic you could never say you know everything. You always will have things to learn, do things in new innovative ways. Without doubt dont think further and take actions. You will learn in the meanwhile. When you take action you will come to know what is workin for You and what is not. Its no one particular thing that work for everybody. So you hav to try and check and find that one thing which works for u and then its just the matter of time. when you find that thing just repeat it endlessly.

So, do not waste any more tine and TAKE ACTION

Don't try to learn everything. To succeed at this game you need only 1 way to make money and 1 way to get traffic. Getting really good at these 2 things will lessen the pain when you branch out and try something new that you're not that good at yet.
The only way to actually fail is to stop trying -- and sometimes that's okey too.
Stop beating yourself up and just DO something.

Hey Frank, I can see you wanted to quote and reply to three different people just above. Please rather than doing that in three different post, could you use the multiquote function like I just did.

If you don't know how, here is what I did:

I just clicked the multiquote button on each of the post I want to reply to. Once you do that the button turns red. And once you have finished, go to the last one below and then click on the quote button and the text editor will open with all the quoted messages. you can then go in and type your responses below each post.

Doing it this way will make the thread interesting rather than boring. Just a suggestion hope this helps.

It seems to me that you need to change your mentality.

I was going to write a detailed reply to you but I'm going instead give you some quotes. But I do think you need to change your plan and TAKE ACTION and work your revised plan. Riches don't come overnight. You need to work the hard yards and NEVER, NEVER give in.

Bill Gates once said " It's fine to celebrate success but it's more important to heed the lessons of failure ".

" You never fail - you just find ways that don't work " - Edison . So WORK until you SUCCEED

" Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure and persistence " - Colin Powell

I think that sums it all up.

    Good advice here.

Take it from someone that lazed around for years before making any real money - the worst thing you can do is not to do anything...or worse yet - jump from one "great idea" to the next.

You can't make two successful businesses until you have one. Stick with one until it works.

Don't make it more difficult then it actually is.

    1) Choose A Topic

    a) choose a topic you are already know about
    b) choose a topic you will be interested in or don't mind learning

    2) Find way to monetize market/ topic

    a) Market affiliate product

    b) Create your own product

    c) Use a PPC network such as Adsense

    3) Create Content

    a) Find topics and headlines that have gotten the most traffic and social shares by reverse engineering the most respected sites in the industry . Don't create a content campaign based upon articles you find on content farms or sites like hubpages. Go to the biggest and most respected brands who already have seen success and base your content on those sites.

    b) Find interesting long tail keywords using sites like uber suggest

    4) Generate Traffic: learn everything you can about generating traffic using sites and methods like

    a) Youtube
    b) Pinterest
    c) Tumblr
    d) Slideshare
    e) Forum Marketing
    f) Imgur
    g) Redditt
    h) Stumbleupon
    i) Twitter
    j) Facebook

You don't even need to be on every network. If you have good success with just one, just stick to it.

This problem is not uncommon. There are thousands of marketers in this forum alone that are knee deep into it. In fact you will be surprise if you get to know some of the warriors who are having this same problem.

Now you have received some really good advice from most of our warriors. I am here to reveal to you something you might not even know yet.

Clearly there is fear of failure going on here. You are not Lazy. I know exactly where you are. From your question I can see you working (studying internet marketing) for 8-9 hours and then getting up at the end of the day not having anything to show for it.

I wrote a blog post on my warrior forum blog about this issue and it contains exactly what you need to do to break out of this loop that seems to never end. you can read the post here:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/blogs/pi...ing-sweat.html

Just read it from top to bottom and then come back here and lets talk about it again. I reckon this is a very important topic and the more people can get over it then Internet Marketing will be more profitable for all.

    Hope this helps you.

If you don't start today, what are you going to post 1 year from today? Probably the exact same post.

If you do start today, in 1 year you are going to have learned real life skills, discovered your strong points in marketing, and overcome the fears. (Plus you will have made some money..)

Take one of those WSO's you purchased and put it into action today.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Get up and just do it, the worst that can happen is not that you failed, but that you didnt even try! If you are going to sit around forever watcching vidoes and reading, then you should be prepared to exercise what you learned. Go For it! I have an email marketing campaign going on that is doing rather well but I failed miserably at least four times before I saw any real return because I didnt take the time to study it. You can do this

Edison failed to create the filament light bulb nearly 10,000 times.
    Lincoln failed winning several elections.

Both put their fear of failing again aside and changed our world forever.

If you have fears, look into the works of brian Tracy, Tony Robbins and Jim Rohn.

    Stop being afraid.
It's really just all in your head.

You almost have a half of solution with you when you have a plan. You just have to implement that plan to get the rest half of the solution.

If you get success with it, you have a blueprint which you can apply on to different niches if you wish to. If not, which you are afraid of, you have to review and refine the plan and test it again till you see the desired results.

You have to start taking actions somewhere. Just a concept in mind won't help you anyways how good it may be.

Actions without proper and adequate thoughts lead to chaos. Too much thoughts lead to weak or no decisive actions.

I recommend to you: forget it and chose 9-5 works, it is classic work and you will be less risk.
And with my experience, 95% of people did not make any money in the internet. With internet marketing or make money online, you must treat it as a real business. It means, you need to accept the fail and the success.
I think you need reconsider again. If you want to try, follow some step below:
    1. Choose a WSO which you like.
    2. Base on it, make your very detail plan base on WSO and other information.
    3. Develop your mind map by graphic. It will help your manage better and easy to imagine.
    3. Fill in the gap. Some works you can do by yourself, some works you need to buy (use Odesk, Fiverr...)
    4. Action. Do it and fix it until you get money
    5. Improve and scale it: improve your method and scale it up.
Why do you need to make a plan? Because with your plan, you will easy follow, adapt and adjust it easy. Fun to do it.
    Good luck.

Without confidence all the learning is useless.

Look at it like a college student. If you take the time and spend the money to go to college but are too intimidated to go out and interview for a job, you're not going to get anywhere.

So since you've already spent the time to learn email marketing then it's time to jump in head first and see what works and what doesn't. Once you commit to it - you'll start to gain more confidence - and be able to succeed.

Just make sure you're not going to do anything scammy/deceptive. It's not worth cutting corners for the quick buck IMO.

    Hi Ahmed.

There's loads of great advice here - all I would like to add is that making a decision is not something you do by thinking about it. If you sit there and weigh up all the pros and cons, all that will happen is that you will create more reasons not to act.

Action purifies thought - as a great man said once.

Decisions are actions - not thoughts. So just DO something and then you can learn, because we learn things by doing them and not by thinking about them.

That's what I think anyway LOL (sorry DO!)
