Twitter, Following, Start Over?

Hello everyone. I just realized I have screwed up with twitter. I used some of these free, get follower tools that are out there and just followed people randomly trying to build up my followers at the same time and now I have found some people who are teaching exactly how to do this and realize I have been doing it all wrong. So now what do I do? Should I just keep going, doing things the right way from now on or should I start completely over from scratch?

I've had my twitter account suspended couple of days ago, I was using these stupid free tools that ask for your twitter account ID and Password. Even though I wasn't using them very often but somehow my account got suspended. So considering this I'd suggest start over.

Automated tools can get you in trouble sometimes. If you gave any suspicious services your password, change your password.

You might be able to contact Twitter and get your account back, if you were innocent of doing anything in violation of their terms. If you think it's a third party service that got you in trouble, beg and plead that you won't use it again.

As for the OP, his account wasn't suspended, so there's no need to start over. He might be advised to change his password if there is any concern any third-party sites have it and may use it improperly.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

I've submitted few support tickets but I guess their support team is no different from google's. Without any response to my ticket they tag my tickets "solved".

Why start from scratch? Just do it the "right way" here on out. No sense reinventing the wheel. If people aren't interested in what you have to say, they'll drop you sooner or later. Or, if they continue to follow you because you follow them, no harm there either. You never know when someone who isn't interested in you will become interested in you, you know?

In case it's not clear, my point is that your twitter account may get scrutinize later based on "suspicious activity"
