What is The One Main Ingredient For Making Money?

Hi
As a consultant to online and offline business
owners I get faced with the same question everytime
I consult...

"I want to make more money!"

Well... one main factor I find in all the businesses
I look at is not the product or service that's at
fault... it's the person running the business.

Even though they wish and hope for more money
they don't actually beleive they can.

I see many businesses fail and the main
reason they do is not because of the product
it's mainly down to the business owner
or board in some cases.

A high level of belief is of paramount importance
to running a business, when I have consulted many business
owners complain about competition and I try to
explain that there is no such thing as competition
in 99% of markets.

Competition is a negative way of running down your business
I have advised many to do JV's with competition and to
use the right mindset to get those JV's so
they can build relationships with existing
"competition" businesses.

If a person comes to my website and he doesn't want my product
I have no hesitation in sending them to my "competition" to
make a commission, but still trying to capture their details
to follow up with them.

Try to think the right way and grow your business positively
don't think negatively about competition, don't try and compete
with price until you and your competition both go out of business.

I hope this haelped some of you and if you ever need any
help PM me and we may able to do business together
one day.

All the very best to all of you and
I hope you all have tremendous success!

Desire. If you don't have enough of it, you will fail. Plain and simple.

Personally, I know that looking back over my last 3 years of online success, there was no ONE main ingredient. My success was a result of four things in combination (the combination being vital to success):

    1. Business Plan and the knowledge and motivation to work it.
    2. Quality products that I create.
    3. Taking action every day!
    4. Believing in my talent and my ability to perform my writing tasks.

    HARD WORK

I know it sounds like a cliche, but that is the key to success. When others are sleeping you are answering customer emails about your product.

That said, it is funny how times change. Payperpost use to have a five dollar minimum on each post, and now it is 50 cents! What you get paid for web work keeps going down.

In grandpa's day, it was "Study hard or you will end up working in the factory"; in my dad's day it was "Hit the books, or you will be pumping gas at the filling station"; now it is "Learn a trade, or you gonna be working at Wal-Mart."

I imagine in the future it will be "power on your ebook, or you will be doing web work for a penny a page!"

When you talk about basic online business models such as the affiliate, cpa or info-product models one key ingredient is the amount of visitors to the offer in question.

You can have the best offer in the world but without enough visitors, you're not going to make a lot of money.

Of course conversion is just as important but without the visitors there is nothing to convert.

Work hard at knowing how to generate visitors and you can write your own ticket.

Sticking with it. If you truly want it, then don't give up. Make it a MUST.

Also, make sure that you are promoting goods and services that people actually WANT or NEED. There's no point being a great marketer, have a great team or have lots of money to advertise if there's no STARVING CROWD.

I would also say that you need to be able to get over the "no guarantee" niggle that's never goes away.

Meaning, many people don't take action because they are not 100% certain that their project will succeed.

Well, wake up and smell the coffee people! There are simply NO guarantees that anything you do will succeed and that niggle never, ever goes away.

Learn to live with it, act despite of it and use it as a challenge to motivate you - that's my nugget of advice.

    Cheers,

On the issue of never giving up, I would agree with that, but only to an extent.

With some projects there does come a time to give it up - usually the little voice that was constantly telling you the project was a dead duck was actually right, but you chose to ignore it.

But of course, I certainly don't mean give up entirely - learn from the experience and get working on your next thing.

    Cheers,

Customer service - communication - building loyalty

    I know that's three, but I couldn't decide! LOL

I guess you could say they all run together,

      "VIDEOS"!

I sell "Info" products and way back in the "Video-Tape" era (1980 to 2000) I discovered my sales went thru the roof when I used Videos as a "SalesTool".

My prospects could actually SEE the product/s I was offering. They could SEE me and watch and listen as I explained the benefits to them buying my products.

And...because most of the stuff I sell is "Printed" products (Advertising items like Restaurant Menus, TV Channel Guides, Employee Discount Cards, etc)....it was very hard for prospects to copy these items by seeing them on a Video. Whereas when I would send printed Sales Letters along with small photos of my items, I found that many were copied.

90% of people don't take focused action.

90% of the action takers are climbing up the wrong tree.

      One simple plan is:
spend 80 hours hyperfocused on a simple business plan

evaluate why the plan didn't work

      make a new plan

      "TRUST"!

If they don't "Trust" you or Believe you...you won't make as much moolah.

One way I've used to build trust when selling websites is to...."Build a Sample Site" and tell my prospects to "look at it"...it's already built! All that's needed is to plug in your name & contact info.

I also do programs for Hotels/Motels where the program is free to them AND, by showing the Hotel/Motel Agreements to potential customers, they believe the program is, in fact, going to go forward.

Then, when I package these programs into "Starter Kits" to sell to other "entroopeneers"....I can show photos of the Hotels/Motels and actual sample ads of clients.

I've found that "Photos or Videos" are excellent ways to "Build Trust".

Hard work alone don't do it, you need a little bit of luck here and there too, you know.

Also there is something as habits breed habits . The laws of the universe say whatever you focus on you get more of. Although that statement is a very LOA type one that I don't agree with.

What I do believe is that actions create habits - if you do the wrong actions you create a habit loop therefore getting more of the same. Therefore the actions need to change to create better habits.

When you cheat on your own business by finding a new business, then the next one and next one you become what I call a business playboy or gal.

Habits can be a bit viral as well - for example if you cheat on your diet, you can end up cheating on your friends. So having strong values and INTEGRITY is key.

Values across your life should be cohesive. Be your values and your values will materialize your dreams.
