I got the best domain in one niche but..

Hey guys,

I bought a domain that is in the quality of "bettingtips.com". The problem is that I dont know what to do with it. I just took the opportunity when I saw the domain was available for a good price.

I dont have the time to run a big website around it, the goal is to make it passive income, so I figured to make it an affiliate website. I found a product on clickbank that converts well.

I dont know what the next step is. I want to pay a freelancer to do all this for me, drive traffic, scale, build the website, and everything that needs to be done. But because im such a newbie at all this, I don't know how to formulate the job and I dont know who to trust and give my money.

I know I am asking a lot here, I just hoping for someone who can bring me in the right direction and what action to take.

Thanks a lot.
S

    1) Install Wordpress
    2) Get good articles written from warrior for hire sections
    3) try to do some SEO (WF will be the best place to find good and honest SEO provider)
    4) Try to get some organic traffic for regular quality content postings like twice a week or so
    5) Install Good Analytic
    6) Install autoresponder on your site and give away a plr ebook in your niche
    7) try to make some affiliate sales
    8) then try to sell it on flipa

it will take 6-7 months but if you do everything right ... I think you can flip it with good profit

Yes, you will need to get a hosting account, and build a website on it -WordPress being an obvious choice. If you want someone to build your site & set up your affiliate product link you could put a project up on Freelancer, or right here on the Warrior forum - even Fiverr have some good site builders.
you will need to first build out either an authority blog style site, with betting and gambling style information, to make it attractive and appealing to people in that niche-or have a minisite with a decent sales letter if you just wanted to promote that product.

Out of the two obviously a one page site is less work, but may convert better for your traffic investment - an authority blog is going to take time to be developed - the domain name has less to do with site success than most people think - just because it is an exact match with the topic means diddly squat actually-think of all the sites with names that mean nothing - Google, Yahoo, youtube, there are lots! It is more about what value you offer.

If you don't have the time to put into building something great, you're probably better off just selling the domain. If it's as good as you say it is, you'll probably turn a tidy profit.

But really domain names are overrated. After all which of the following do you think is a better domain name:

      search.com or google.com or bing.com?

      shopping.com or amazon.com?

      socialnetwork.com or facebook.com?

      And so on...

I'm not saying that a good domain has no value at all, but 99.9% of the value of a site is in what you do with it, not in the domain name. So if your plan is to put in minimal work to put up a mediocre website and milk passive income, my "betting tip" is that you're going to be sorely disappointed

        Bingo.

There is no such thing as easy, passive income.

You wouldn't buy a convenience store if you didn't have the time to put into it. Neither should you contemplate building an authority site if you don't have the time to put into it.

People will see right through your absentee status and click away once they realize there is little of value to stick around for.

My advice: go big or go home.
