    Hello,

Whilst there are many more qualified people to answer this question for you I thought I'd chip in to see if I could help

I found then when first trying to get into Affiliate Marketing, using Amazon as a source was the easiest way to go.

Find a good popular and active niche of products on Amazon and then develop a site around them. Writing Guides / Reviews and Top 10 lists etc

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

Yes, buy a $100 Bing ads coupon for 20 bucks. You will get $100 as advertising credits and you can use them to bring traffic to your site/affiliate offers.

The first step is first find a niche with hungry buyers, the next step is to learn how to do email marketing and build yourself a squeeze page. Give away some kind of freebie in exchange for their email and provide relevant solutions to them. You can build your list by using free traffic such as forums in your niche, blogging, video marketing, guest blogging or paid methods such as solo ads, ppc, banners, ppv. Before you invest in paid advertising always make sure your offer coverts prior to scaling and remember that free traffic is going to take time, consistency is key.

To do affiliate marketing, you really need to start a blog and build a list. This way, you'll get traffic from the search engines, and some people will automatically sign up to your list with little effort on your part. Basically, you're list will act as a second income stream. However, the first thing you need to do is to figure out what niche you want to go into (i.e. dating, weight loss, electronics, toys, etc). Your blog should have articles and product reviews.

I've had great results with launch jacking on Youtube.

Basically, head to muncheye, find a product that is launching in a week or so, and make a video recommending the product. You can easily get a review copy from the vendor's JV page.
If you do your keyword research correctly, you can manage to rank on page one as the product goes live, at which point many people are going to head to Google to find reviews.
Of course, don't forget to include your affiliate link in the description

    Finding a traffic source.

Fundamentally, as an affiliate, you're selling traffic on a PPA basis. If you drive traffic that buys, you get paid. So your first and foremost concern is where to get traffic.

Most of the big players buy that traffic on a PPC basis through Google, Bing, and Facebook.

I'd suggest starting to build an email list right off the bat. If you really want to succeed with affiliate marketing long-term, you will need an email list that trusts you.

This can be your most profitable asset if you do it correctly.

So as you already said, yes you will need a squeeze page at minimum to start doing this.

Making the squeeze page is the easy part...there's a ton of solutions out there to create a great-looking squeeze page that converts, such as Leadpages, Optimizepress, epic squeeze plugin, the lists goes on.

Traffic is the more difficult (or at least more expensive) part of the equation.

Paid traffic will be the quickest, but you will need a budget for this.

If you are in the internet marketing space, purchasing solo ads is a great way to quickly build an email list. But you need to be careful who you purchase from.

If you are going to be affiliate marketing in another niche, you may want to consider Facebood ads.

Create a Facebook page for your brand or niche, and advertise through post engagements, this will help you minimize your advertising costs.

    Best of luck!

Very first step is to decide if you want to use sheer potential of paid traffic or you want to stick with free sources, just making up your mind between these two will help you get much more clarity!

If you want to be a successful affiliate marketer, you must need to have a site. as a first time, you can use Social Media site to increase your sale. Nowadays most of the people are passing their gossiping time by using the Social Media site. So it is a great chance to utilize the opportunity. You can find your targeted people by joining Facebook page in any specific Location or specific CITY.

You should have your own site then you need to do some SEO to increase your site traffic. You can do Forum posting, Relevant Blog commenting. Thanks

For the past 15 years I have been doing CPA/Lead Generation. PPL: pay per lead

So rather than selling a product to get a commission, I get paid to get a user to fill out a form. There is no credit card required, so typically the conversion rates are much higher. I favor leads that have have a make, get or save money angle to them, as they tend to perform best for me. They also tend to have greater mass appeal, so the potential to generate high volume exists.

Traffic is generated 100% through email data acquisition. These days I'm pretty much just acquiring targeted data and generating co-reg that is all real-time or same day data (exclusive and non exclusive). The trick to this is to start small and test each source to make sure that you can break-even in a reasonable amount of time. Once you break-even, now you have an asset that you can use to generate traffic anytime you want, for very low cost. At this point, I also test to see how aggressive I can get way with being at promoting other offers.

Another reason why I like leads that have a make, get or save angle to them is that it's not hard to tie-in one offer to another even if non related, if it has the same angle. Even if it doesn't have the same angle, the three often work together. It's just a matter of being creative to come up with some tie-in to help keep possible complaint, unsubscribe rates down.

Anyway, that's the short of the long and probably much different advice than you will get from others. In the end I'm really just monetizing data and taking the path of least resistance to do it. Also it can be very profitable. Everyone I know that is in the business that knows that they are doing make 6-7 figures. How much one makes really comes down your ability to scale and manage your infrastructure.

Do you use a full blown website or just squeeze pages to take people to the forms?

In my opinion, you need to back up some.
No point in worrying about traffic if you aren't sure of your niche or what to promote.

Different traffic strategies are more effective for certain niches, too.

Like Randall stated, study some more about traffic. And I would add, know what you want to promote in the first place...it will give you more of a clear direction because you can see what others in the niche use successfully to drive their traffic.

Create a viral video on YouTube and add your affiliate link in the description. I tried the same promoting ASO hosting sale and it definitely gave me some sales. Although, I paid the blogger and I was lucky enough that the video went viral

Another way is to post in huge facebook groups but make sure its related to your niche.

Forum signature links also work but only some forums allow affiliate link in the bio. For example digitalpoint

Gather crowds in your locality and offer them free educational classes related to your product. That is a cool way to get some signups.
