What do you warrior think.

Will having a blog up for a year and a half with 1000+ posts yield nice traffic?

All bookmarked for indexing capability.

As with all of these traffic question ... it depends.

If the articles are crap. No.

If the articles are helpful. Yes.

Based on some of his other posts, I believe the OP is talking about the outdated practice of setting up accounts on X number of social bookmarking sites, then backlinking his posts using those accounts.

Somehow I have to believe that Google hires bright enough people to program filters for social bookmarking accounts that only link one site, or link every post on a site, or any other unnatural permutation one can come up with.

As for the original question, it depends.

Good content, promoted intelligently, will draw traffic.

      Crap will only draw flies.

It's a good first step, especially if the content is good. You can get recurring hits to your blog from email/blog subscribers, and by promoting your blog ONLY everywhere feasible where you can. Including with paid advertising. Hopefully you have nice monetization options on your blog.

It's really a broad question but I don't think it will give you that much of boost unless your bookmarks are really super high quality
