Root domain and add-on domain
I am new.
I opened a new website with bluehost with a domain name. It's a piano site, so I named it:
LearnPianoWithRosa(dot)com
(I am not allowed to post link names because I am new so I need to put the (dot) there to replace . )
And then I saw how successful going online is and people actually bought my stuff, so I started investigating into other areas of internet and got involved with internet business sites.
So I bought a new domain name and called it:
SecretsToSuccessWithRosa(dot)com
I intend to use this new domain name to do with internet marketing.
------------------------
So I went into bluehost and "added-on' domain.
Then I discovered that it is really not a ROOT DOMAIN, although the 2nd site's name: SecretsToSuccessWithRosa(dot)com is a new site, but it is called an 'added-on' domain.
Then when I started setting up websites for this new domain name, it seems to function on its own like my first domain name, though it is 'added-on'.
----------------------------
Then a week ago, I bought a package of niche-marketing software, and I saw this:
""But you should avoid this setting ('addon domain'), as search engines do not treat them as real domains."
-----------------------------
I was concerned cuz my new site is an add-on domain andnot a root domain.
---------------------------
I wrote and asked the guy about this and the guy told me that 'that is outdated info.'.
I am a bit confused.
Since you guys are experts, can you tell me if my 'add-on' domain is alright with google or should I totally find a new hosting site and open all sites with root domains?
Thanks for your help,
Rosa
