Where to market a webcomic

So far I've made a FB page, Twitter account, I'm building a website, also using patreon (to receive donations and such), setting up a paypal account (donations).

I think I'll open a Reddit account.

What else?

There are so many blogs and forums where indie artists can submit their comics with the facility of being able to receive a donation.

You might want to get a VA to compile a mammoth list of web comic blogs and comics fan blogs

Get the VA to segment the list by niche, Alexa site info score, social viral activity and other indicators

Sort the list in terms of priority

Comment in drips and drabs until you get traction

You'd be surprised as to how many people would LOVE to send you traffic if only you'd PROVE yourself

      I like the idea...

When you mention "Comment in drips and drabs..." are you talking about commenting on other popular blogs/fanpages with a link to my webcomic?

Also, where do people usually find their VA's on here?

Reddit for sure. Also IMGUR has a great audience built in.

but If I do promote on Reddit and IMAGUR, isn't that the type of traffic that is likely to stay on those sites instead of going to my site?

Someone here once mentioned watermarking all of your photos with your website. I believe it could also apply to webcomics.

Yes there is alot of money to be made in webcomics, especially the adult genre kind. I can give you a few pointers, but not publicly.

PM me and i'll direct you to where the money's at in self-publishing manga and that type of stuff.

It's not necessarily adult or manga. More like DogHouseDiaries

Look for imageboards like 4chan and similar. Post your comics there with a subtle watermark at the bottom. If your comics are great then they will stick.

Try submitting to bored panda.com. They love that type of stuff and their stories tend to go viral within a day or two of being published.

But don't put a watermark on the submission

Is it against bored panda's policies or are you just saying in general?

I also found sites like smackjeeves and the duck webcomics, which apparently host your comics directly.

I'm guessing that if the comics are very entertaining, they can eventually sell themselves.
