How much my website is worth?

Hello everyone,

I am thinking to sell my site in Education niche. I have around 10K visitors mainly from the US, I have advertiser who pays 70 USD/month for banner ads and around 180 USD-200 USD for other creatives (articles, infographics etc), and around 100 - 150 USD on fiverr (blog mentions), 10-20 USD on Amazon.

So I make around 300 USD/month...sometimes more. The profit is 250 USD and more.

I want to sell this website but I have no idea how much I should charge for it... Any ideas?

Thanks a lot!!!

Why you are willing to sell this site? If you can continue the work, you will be able to earn a good amount of money. One site price many depends on the following things. 1. Content. How much content available on the site. Is the content is original? Is there any plagiarism? 2. PR. Page Rank is very important for a site. Most of the time the rate depends of the Page Rank. PR is too much important in the field of SEO. 3. Traffic. It is also an important things to fix-up a site rate. How many traffic is & where ? So you should consider these things while, you will make a decision about the site price. Thanks a lot.

    Thanks for your reply.

The website is 6 months old. I am selling the site due to my main job (no time anymore). The content is original and of high quality. Some articles has been ranked in top of google and got mentioned on wikipedia. No plagarism. 2. PR0... I don't think it's that important these day as PR is not getting updated for a while. 3. Traffic 50% organic and 50% social. 4. Around 10K visitors/month to different articles on the site.

    Thanks

Your site is only worth what someone will pay you for it. I would suggest you do some research and find similar or complimentary sites then approach the owner and see if he/she has an interest in owning your site as well.

6 mos. history is not a long time and I'm guessing your site won't go for much on the open market unless you ramp up income substantially.

Steve B, thanks for your comment. My advertiser offered 3000 USD for it. It's like my 10 months earnings. Do you think it's fine? Thanks!

Usually it's 12months earnings as of what your last 12 months netted (note I didn't say grossed, you need to deduct expenses from the gross profit). That's the normal going rate of any business worldwide not just websites.

    Hi vikka,
I think it worth a lot. There are websites like Website Worth & Domain Value Calculator - Buy & Sell Websites/Domains that evaluate your website traffic, page rank, daily pageview and etc and quote a price. As you may know this price is not a real one.
If you want to see real prices, you should list your website in flippa, freemarket, sudo and etc.
You can check similar websites there too. My suggestion is to provide full information about your website on this directories. Daily pageview, traffic, monthly income, page rank, page authority and domain autorithy are important factors for potential customers.

10 times your monthly earnings is a standard price to expect. If you've been earning that amount for a minimum of 90 days - that offer is fair.

My own opinion is your site has a ton of upside and whoever grabs it will double it's income in 90 days and likely resell it for twice the price.

    Good luck.

I knew that online businesses are usually valued at 3 - 5 times the monthly profits, because if Google stops ranking the site in the first page of results, the website drops in value towards basically zero

So this risk is there always, as Google updates their search algorithms and rules quite often (so many Penguins and so many Pandas, etc)
