Default How Do You Create eBooks with Unique Passwords?

I have recently bought an eBook from Clickbank and I was given a unique password to access it. The eBook was a PDF file. I would like to be able to do the same thing for my reports.

I have the full Adobe suite and and can manage to create a single password for any particular PDF document.

How can I create and automatically send unique passwords for every customer of my eBook?

Thanks
Apollo

When I want to issue a PDF with a unique password, I use CF to produce it on-the-fly and generate a unique password and then set it in the document security settings. This way I can produce them over and over again, completely automated.

Thanks Steven for the suggestion, but what is CF?

The easiest is to setup a password protected .rar file.

or you can....

  • Open the PDF file in Acrobat
  • Select File > Document Security from the menu
  • Got to the “Security Options” drop-down and select “Acrobat Standard Security”
  • Find the box labelled “Password required to open document” and place a check mark against it.
  • Edit or type the password
  • You can also add a password requirement for changing permissions or password. To add a a required password check the box against “required password to change permissions or password” and enter the password. However note that this password must be different from the one that you entered for securing or password protecting the PDF file.
  • If you want your PDF document to be password accessible to users with previous versions of Acrobat Reader (versions earlier than 5.0), do not change the 40-bit encryption setting. However if your users or audience will be using version 5 or later versions of the Reader (or the full Acrobat program) then you may use 128-bit encryption.
iintense, would this solution mean that I would have to manually create a new password for each purchase of the document?:
