Hello, my name is Brian. I'm running a blog (just started).. not getting much traffic at all. Therefor no one is signing up on my opt-in page. I'm really trying all that I can think of other than paying for traffic or buying email lists and until I can start making commissions, I'm not currently in the position to really purchase anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm basically blogging to an empty room.

    1. Write about things that people are actively searching for. Optimize your posts for the post's main keyword.
    2. Long posts are better than short ones; with a longer post, you'll likely include some related keywords, too. I make all of my posts at least 1000 words. No exceptions. If I can't write 1000 words, I find another topic.
    3. Add one blog post every day.
    4. Be patient. It can take months to start getting visitors. "Free traffic" means "paid for with your time."

    Most important question is, are you testing your optin form? What is it converting at? Are you split testing it to improve the opt-in rate?

    Could be performing very low and why your not getting subs?

    Obviously, tweaking our optin forms/process allows use to squeeze more from our traffic. Making even low volume traffic more profitable.

      I'd suggest First of all you find a suitable audience.
      Your blog is based on the IM niche then, you should focus on bringing targeted traffic in that niche.
      Few tips to bring traffic to your website:-


      1.) Magnetising Content. (This is the most important step, which will naturally let your content go viral.)


      2.) Create an audience. ( You need to create an audience who like your articles and blog post, you can do this by creating a Facebook fan page and post links to your blog posts) Also you can send news feeds to your email subscribers regarding your recent blog post.


      3.) SEO ( Although this is optional but very important if you want to scale up the traffic and thus your conversions)
