Questions about selling on CB

I am planning to sell a few products through CB and have done my research for a week now. The concept seems pretty easy to me but I was wondering if being knowledgeable in your own niche is beneficial. I mean I won't be taking customer support or anything right? All I have to do is create a landing page and send buyers to the vendor's sales page. Viola!

All joking aside. Is there anything else I may be missing?

This means: You are not selling your own product but you are selling someone Else's product as an affiliate...

So U are not selling on CB. But you are helping someone else get a sale and you will receive commissions.

I apologize. I should have made that clear. And yes, I will be doing affiliate and receive commission. I have already research the marketplace and did the product research. So before I start is there anything else I need to consider?

If you are going to be selling affiliate products - then you don't have to deal with much.

All you would have to work on is generating targeted traffic, capturing leads, building an email list, following up, building trust, and selling.

Now, to be very successful here, it is recommended to have good knowledge in your niche. Unless you have a lot of money to invest into paid traffic - and that is all you are doing.

But, if you are going to be driving free traffic with internet marketing strategies - the right knowledge should be your best friend!

You know what they say; knowledge is the new money!

    Get you some! ...

I love affiliate marketing because all you have to worry about is the targeted traffic, email marketing and building a good relationship with that list.

Very simple concept. Do not over-complicate it!!

You just have to learn how to drive a massive amount of targeted traffic to your capture pages. And also work a lot on the conversion rates.

Keeping it simple is the best way to go here!

    I hope this helps!

    keep up the great work!

I did affiliate marketing for almost my first 10 years online. While I still do a little, I miss the freedom, like already mentioned. Nice not to have customer service. Nothing really contacts you.

Obviously the most important part is how your going to get the offers in front of potential buyers. Getting traffic. That should be your number one priority. Freddy already mentioned it, but just wanted to chime in.

If you are just an affiliate you don´t need to
be so knowledgeble about the niche.

    I don´t think you´re missing anything
    start testing traffic

also, when you get more advance
    create another landing page
and see which one converts better.

Thanks for all the advice guys. But no more written blogs and articles for me. I am just going to be creating at least 3 compaign and buy ppc, then drive lots of traffic from at 2-3 difference sources and track all my statistics. I already have a feeling this is going to work! Fast and easy money generated.

I am not even sure if I am going make a website. lol. Forget all that!

Well when I said sell, I meant pick a product on CB and promote it. ha ha. Sorry for the misrepresentation.

I have a question. Would you guys recommend promoting a product you have no knowledge of? Especially if your going to do any email marketing to build your list. Say you build a landing page to collect emails and direct that to the vendor's sales page so your buyer can buy the product. What if you know nothing about that particular niche how are you going to write the emails and educate your buyer? lol.

One thing call to mind. Does anybody write for the heatth&fitness niche? DDD

I sure wouldn't promote something you're not knowledgeable about. Not unless you were a - interested enough to learn more about it or b - plan on just driving blind traffic to an offer. Which (b) is OK, but not nearly as lucrative as developing a system to follow up with those leads. Which (I would think) would require knowledge of the niche to build an ongoing relationship based on their interests/concerns.

Does anybody know how to change tracking id on your CB order page?

I had assigned a tracking id to my aff link, and this id can be track from email. This will let me know if my subscribers are clicking my email to purchase the product. This is fine. However, I created a new tracking id but it never replace the old tracking id. When I go to the order page, I can still see my old tracking id. I'd like my new tracking id to show up instead. Does anybody know what went wrong?

If you click on your affiliate link containing a new tracking id you will definitely see it on the order page

(Maybe refreshing the page may help)

Edit: I got it working now. I had to change the redirected url in a couple of places.
