I think there is huge potential to make money in the soccer niche. How about T shirt selling or even using Adsense on the site? Premiere League football fans are all over the world. Let me add this Fans in Addis Ababa fight each other until police takes care of the situation.

This shows how strong and plenty their fans are all over the world.

You could start a hyper-local football or soccer blog in your area and follow/report on the local games there and once you gain traffic (which should be pretty easy), sell ad space (e.g., local establishments, etc.)

There is money to be made in a lot of niches. More in some niches than others. There are some soccer products on clickbank that you could promote. And like stated above you could use adsense or tee shirt selling!

      Hi

I'm in the gambling industry. You want to focus monetising by working with bookmaker affiliates and you want to place banners and promote their sign up offers on your website. You will earn 35% of the players losses in its lifetime, so there is big money to be made.

Yes there is plenty of money to be made in this industry, there are loads of people making 5 figures + from these bookmaker websites.

Great Niche ideas! I am a huge fan of Ebay Partner Network. You would easily earn commissions from your blog just from people clicking the ads.

My humble suggestion would be to make it like a Rant Sports or SB Nation type of blog exclusively for soccer, but for all the major worldwide leagues and teams.

This way you have plenty of subject material to work from and you will never run out of content to come up with.

You go broad and become an authority. Post more than 1x per day.

Build up your audience using social media like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest (if it applies).

Guest post on the popular sites in their soccer sections to build some credibility and divert some of that traffic back to your site.

Get your site listed in all the directories that list the top soccer/sports blogs.

If you have money, spend it on building your audience through FB ads, promoted pins, advertising through the publisher networks all the major sports blogs are running on their sites like taboola, outbrain and the like.

You basically will need to hustle and hustle hard. BUT if you do and you stay consistent, you can build yourself up a really nice audience big enough to pay some and potentially all of your bills - and more.

As far as monetization strategies - adsense, outbrain, taboola, media.net, affiliate programs, amazon, that gambling stuff that prizeboy mentioned. Lots of options here.

I'm just freestyling off the top of my head, but the bottom line is there is massive potential - IF you're willing to put the work in.
