How many hours a day did you spent at first?

Hy,I am curious how much time have you dedicated to IM when you first started ?And maybe if it doesn't bother you to answer ,how much time do you spend now?

    Hi andrew....

    I used to spend just 2hr on IM a day when starting out...but as i read up more and wanted to expand further/ grow my business i did spend more time like 4-5hr.

    As they say... if you cant invest in time then invest in money. If y think u are spending too much time online then outsource. That will save u time....

    I started out with a few hours per day and gradually grew it more and more. Now, there aren't even enough hours in the day for doing what I want, lol.

    You won't be counting the hours that you would have to spend to make it work, if you consider browsing forum and chatting with like-minded people a work, then I pretty much spent my whole days and months after it!

    When I first got an Idea i worked as hard as i can, I always though if you don't get down at it quick someone else is going to do it. In Fact this is quiet true. Work as hard as you can however don't break yourself. Know your limits and do you best, set the amount of time you want to work per day and if you stay on task maybe 3 hours a day is enough to reach your goal!

    At first it seemed like 12 hour days 7 days per week. Anything good achieving takes a lot of work at first and there is no shortcut to this rule. Not even with Internet marketing.

    Today I probably spend around 4 to 5 hours per day but that is mainly because I like what I do. It's nice though to have the option of just getting up and doing something else all on my own time. As I grow more I will delicate a lot of my task and learn to run my business basically hands free. ;-)

      It's not really on how much time you spend, it's about what you spend your time on. As it's said... "Time is what we want most, but what we use worst." - William Penn ... You can spend hours on hours implementing the wrong techniques and burning yourself out, or you can allocate 3 - 5 hours on implementing the right techniques, one will make you money - and one won't.

      But also, if you're in this business to only put in a few hours - then, this is not for you. There will be times where things don't go exactly as you planned. You may set aside a hour to send a newsletter, update your websites, etc - and then something else pop-up on your to-do list. So, there will be times you'll have to pull a 12 to even 24 hour schedule to get the job done, but that's after years of experience, you'll get used to it - and, if it's your passion, then it doesn't feel like a chore to you - you'll love doing it.

      It's all about sacrifice, those 1 hour millionaire on the beach nonsense is what you should stay away from believing. These people have spent years of frustration, failures, testing, and building up their resources to where they can hire virtual assistants to help ease the work burden on them, so they can get back to creating instead of managing their business, but even still - they end up pulling 12 - 24 hour days to make sure everything is running as planned.

      It takes dedication, motivation, and your "WHY". Why am I doing this, what am I trying to achieve, what is the end result? Where is this getting me, and how long will it take. You have to answer those questions, and be prepared to grind. There really is no set time, you just have to know what you're going after, and how much time you're willing to put in. It's different for everyone, but if it's a goal that really matters to you - you'll pull those 24 hour days, I do

        Yeah, time is irrelevant. You need to do what it takes, whatever it takes for as long as it takes.

        Not only do you need to have that mind set, but bear in mind that you are going to fail a bunch before you start succeeding. Rarely does anyone achieve stardom over night. You've just gotta be an addictive learner and work it.

    Good question. @EPoltrack77 is right - there are no shortcuts. If you want to make it you do everything you can all the time.

    Every waking minute of my day is directed toward the following thoughts: How can I get better... How can I create more value for potential customers... What can I do to make this run smoother...

    Deep planning - all the way to the end is the only way to make sure you're covering all the bases.

    It's all about how you spend your time. You could spend 8 hours fiddling with different shades of orange for your site logo, but that's very unproductive way to spend 8 hours. Focus on the important tasks each day whether that takes you 2 hours or 12 hours.

    Something I think is worth considering is that if you invest just one hour each day for a year, you will accumulate the equivalent of nine 40-hour weeks of productivity over the course of a year.

    That's right: nine 40-hour weeks.

    When i first started i was online for about 10 hours per day. I did the math, and discovered that i'd make more money working part-time at Taco Bell for $6.50/hour. Sad.

    Nowadays i only spend 1 1/2 hours per day on my business. It's majority paid advertising driven. And i dont do crap at the house everyday except ****, ****.... and **** some more.

    Feel me? I know my girlfriend does.

    Good luck man... and don't spend a ton of time online. You can seriously hurt your eyes if you do this everyday. Find the simplest and most efficient way to market and sell your products, and just maintain it everyday.

    I think when I first started, I had to do almost full day for months... luckily now I only work 5 hours but my work is mostly design work so it depends on my orders.

      I spend as much time as I need on my business to make it work and get the things done that I need to achieve, now as time has gone on I have learned to outsource and free up more time but still half my day is working on my business and goals
