What did you start out doing?

hello everyone, if you don't mind sharing, what did you start out doing in the IM world?

I first started using blogger and article marketing.

I started with PPC but that was a long time ago when PPC was much easier.

2006 -> PPC.. and failed miserably. Live and learn.

I started out with PPC too as it was the quickess way to start. Made some money but also got burnt along the way. I have since moved to more conservative way of IM.

Well luckily I started reading here before actually implementing IM and learned that ppc was not worth the hastle

Don't get me wrong.. I failed in PPC when I started because I didnt understand it.

I LOVE PPC now... because I understand it.. and it makes me great money. But if you don't understand it you can and will get burnt.

Get it right and you will be indebted to it for the rest of your life because it can be awesome.

I started out with a combination of methods myself, Natural serach engine, backlinks, ppc. But have since pretty much done away with PPC because you just really dont need if things are done right. I now use it just in testing new offers.

I starting doing IM in 1998 and have been doing it every since then. I started out with a site selling collectibles.

Affiliate Marketing was what I felt was doable.

I remember hearing someone ask years ago "what would you do different if you were just starting out in IM?"
One fella replied "depending on the area of IM you get involved in, I would pick one or two coaches that are the best, and stick with them. Not buy everything in sight"

This advice helps to not get information overload, especially just starting out.

Of course the Warrior Forum, like you said, can help immensely.
