Best Way To Market A Software?

Hi,

I am in the process of creating a certain software and I'd like to ask the community here what would be the best way to market the software?

Would it be through affiliates?

    Is it a demo? If it is, then download sites are certainly a good option as well.

    Agreed. About the best way is to give away limited demos of the
    software to your target market and allow them to sell themselves
    on its virtues. Lot of major software companies do just that.

    Where are your customers?

    Did you make this software in isolation or with their input?

    Did you solve a problem someone said they would pay to have solved?

    Look at that list of SaaS sales problems from 2007:

    I don’t have enough leads
    My customers want to customize my application
    Getting new customers up and running is too long and hard
    My prospects aren’t Internet savvy
    My sales cycle is too slow and takes too much effort
    My prospects always seems to want that one thing we don’t have
    My prospects don’t have enough time or interest to talk to my sales staff.
    These apply to ERP, accounting software and CRM tools as well, many of which are sold as SaaS solutions.

    Why do you think these things happen? Does it sound like the SaaS solution matches up with the buyers' problem?

    These same issues are still prevalent. The vendors haven't learned anything.

    I wrote a post about this on my blog since it's a huge issue.

    Free demos don't sell, either. Look at the results.

    Is this an SaaS or locally installed?

    If SaaS, I'd say you should try CONTENT MARKETING

    Find authoritative blogs in the niche the SaaS addresses and talk about the PROBLEMS your service solves.

    I think it depends on what the software does and what niche it is targeting. Affiliates should help though.

    for marketing ur software u must give demos in the company that can buy ur software. there are many sites available we u can submit ur software front end so that people can see the demo. and like wise you can give some advertisement in the social media sites so that people get to know about ur software.

    First make demo and promotion website then you can submit your software in multiple software downloading website. You can easily submit by using PAD (xml) file.
