    So what is the deal?

I want your help with something.

I'm creating an affiliate marketing course and need your feedback!

I have been making a good income with the use of affiliate marketing and SEO for the past year now and have decided to exploit everything I have been doing first hand.

I have the guide about 70% completed and working on the videos.

Im not entirely sure what newbies would want.

I thought about giving theory and boring Power Points showing what and why I do stuff or would you prefer just reading the guide for the whats and whys and watching videos for 100% OVER the shoulder like as i would do it if no one was watching and giving my commentary along the way???!

Ive never really seen a course done this way and would be interested to see what you think!

    Please let me know.

    K Go!
    Cheers,
    Matty P
You could do over-the-shoulder videos that take your customers step-by-step through the process, and then have notes for each video in the form of a downloadable PDF. The PDF could be a video transcript with the theory or just a summary of important things they should take away with the theory behind it all. I've seen it done both ways.

Hi Matt. I'm from up your way near the sunny coast.
I'm new to affiliate marketing, and still trying to find my way. I can tell you what would be most helpful to me. That is, step-by-step videos, of only small chunks each, taking you through the whole computer navigation, what are the best affiliate sites for what type of products (perhaps grouping products), what plug-ins are needed, how do you actually establish a contractual arrangement with the companies, etc. I'd be keen to see what your final product is. Hope this helps somewhat.
      Regards
      Peter

The ability to stick with just one thing from beginning to end. I have too many ideas and tend hop around from one task to another. Say I start a new project today that I know will take me about a week to finish... If tomorrow I get another good idea, I'll just completely drop what I'm doing leaving my current project to do nothing but collect dust.

Too many ideas is my problem. What I need to do is grow 5 more heads and 10 more arms.

      So true Bran.

      Thanks for the honest feedback...

      I know the feeling...

Personally, I think it's all about having faith that the original idea that got us excited in the first place will work and follow through with that....

The brain will always want to distract and jump from one thing to another. May be the saboteurs!

We have to put our foot down to overcome this! I found focusing on one thing at a time and trying to build that out completely gives me the greatest reward! Turning ideas into reality!

Good things take time... And if it were easy everyone would be doing it!

Imaging how distracted we would get having more heads and more arms ..

There are several issues for me, listed from largest to smallest

    1) Where to start?

Affiliate Marketing is overwhelming to a newb like me. I scour the forums for hours a day just trying to take it all in. Should I build a website? What platform do I use? How should I do the layout? How do I do split testing to increase conversions? SEO? Where do I leave links? Where do I promote? What will harm me and what will help? Where else can I go to learn more? What's the best approach for promoting on FB or other social media platforms? And then we have so much more, such as conversions, email marketing, niches, market research, landing pages, squeeze pages, traffic funnels, and I suppose one of the most important things, measuring and analyzing what works and what doesn't.

I wish I had someone to hold my hand and give me a specific set of instructions that cover it all! (don't we all?)

    2. Finding the time in the day

I might not be alone here, but a lot of us work full time as we don't have the income coming in from online sales just yet. Personally, I'm entering the last year of my MBA at William & Mary, with a dual concentration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, on TOP of working part time, so my schedule is extremely limited. I would be interested in not only the step by step instructions, but also a schedule for people who can't quite dedicate their full time to this endeavor.

For instance, Day 12: Task: Link Buiding Time needed: 2 hours or something along those lines that would then go into further detail of that specific task

    3) Who do I trust? Lots of threads on here seem to have many people split on certain topics. How do I know what is right and what is wrong? I tend to do a lot of research, trust my gut on the answers that seem to make the most sense, implement my strategy, look for mistakes, rinse, repeat.

I hope some of this helps.

Honestly think these types of threads should be banned.

Everyone I've seen the op never establishes why they want to know, who they are or how they can help out.

It just seems some bs 'program' that tells people to ask these questions before creating a product or wso.

Strangely enough more times than not they don't add any value to the thread they create.
