Default Outlook - Please Help! [OT]

Hi Guys n Girls!

Sorry for bothering you all. I've been using my Mac more and more exclusivley over the past two months. Today I snapped - I miss Outlook too much (is Entourage worth a bash?).

Thing is, I seem to have fogotten a lost of stuff - the biggie right at the moment is how do I see my POP accounts by mailbox (I have about 20 accounts)

The IMAP ones appear just fine, but one of my non marketing businesses emails (pop accounts * 2) just dont appear and are integrated in my personal folders...

I use Google Apps for all the hosting if that helps, but don't really want to use the Gmail interface. Shudder. (I'm an outlook nerd with crazy rulesets and GTD stuff!)

1. Open Microsoft Outlook. Click Tools and select E-mail Accounts.
2. Select Add a new e-mail account and click Next.
3. Choose POP3 and click Next.
4. Enter your information (User Name: your e-mail address etc) Click More Settings. (Note: Make sure the box near "Log on using SecurePassword Authentication (SPA)" is Unchecked)
5. Select Outgoing Server tab then check My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication. and choose Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Click OK then Next and Finish.

Hi Greenovi,

The accounts are already in outlook, it just puts all the POP3 accounts in my Personal folder which is annoying. Are rules my only way out?

I used to use Thunderbird - I can't say just how low an opinion I have of it - I can understand that it is a great alternative for a lot of Warriors and I would choose it over Outlook Express but not Outlook.

Thanks anyway!

Hey Steve

Sorry to say that rules are your only way out.

Sorry for the previous post, I was thinking that you did not know how to set outlook up to receive your mail.
