Hello
I was wondering I tried to search this in old posts but could not find it. Anyway has anyone ever used a squidoo page as a landing page for there Adword campaigns. If so did it work for you or not. I really can't see that it would make a difference in using a standard website landing page or a squidoo lens as a landing page. I could be wrong though. Any reply would help out greatly. Thank you

I was going to say the same thing, your not in control of the page. What is you build it up and for some reason it get's taken down or deleted? Don't really hear of that happening, but it's a possibility. Just a thought.

Alexa is right, you're about nuts to drive traffic to a squidoo lens. You have all those other distractions and clicks that don't belong to you.

Create a blog on blogger if you can't or won't get our own domain. Get a template that looks somewhat like a landing page. Have your money links spread throughout. Believe me, driving traffic to squidoo is like handing Seth Godin a percentage of your ad campaign budget.

      That one's funny...

I am a squidoo fanatic. So my view on the usefulness of squidoo is biased but my opinion is this:

If you are planning to create a lens that definitely gives value while allowing you to earn passively then use Squidoo.

If you are looking for a way to easily create a showcase for your products that you can do in 30 minutes to 1 hour, then again Squidoo is a good choice..

But if you want to CREATE A LANDING PAGE, IMHO DON'T USE IT..

Everything has its proper purpose and I think squidoo isn't useful or even appropriate for a landing page..

      That's just me..

Thank you for all your help. I actually decided not to, I went to some PPC campaigns and didn't see anyone else doing it, I figured there had to be a reason.. Probable not something I would want to try. I think I'll just make a landing page.

Are you talking about a landing page for a PPC campaign?
If so, then I wouldn't either. On the other hand I have posted backlinks to get better SE results and have gotten good results. PPC would seem kind of expensive when you are revenue sharing...

I am thinking just starting out in the affiliate marketing, it might be better to go the PPC route mainly because I am still learning the article marketing and SEO side. I kinda want to start out with PPC because I think it might deliver a faster results. I have made a landing page and have some affiliates that I belong to linked within the page. I know it will take a while to get index by google and yahoo, so starting out with PPC makes since to me for getting faster results. I am trying to learn as much as I can about PPC so I do not blow thought money without Conversions.. I hope that is a wise move on my part.

      Thanks Mattd365

I created a lense today and made it a landing page for a PPC campaign on Adwords. I think the lense is highly relevant to the few keywords I am bidding for on Adwords. However the quality score is 1/10 and 2/10. Well, I'm just the beginner in Adwords but still I think I hit some "slap" blanket action applied to the squidoo domain. Or got penalised for including Amazon and eBay modules in the lense.
