Hey guys.. anyone having success advertising with text messages? I just signed up with a service and want to start integrating this media in our marketing. Don't know yet whether to send them to a website or a recorded hotline they can call immediately... let me know your thoughts! One idea I had was testing those ads they play right before the movie starts... since everyone has their phone with them, they could text to get more info and then send a followup a few hours later! And they'll be in a great buying mood since they just saw "Hangover" for the second time like I did! :-) - Ken |

| My guess is that a recorded hotline would work better , but you never know. It may depend on the phone they use. I know with my wife's I-Phone it is easy to see a website, with my phone a website is about useless. The only way to know for sure is test.

| That would be my thought, so many different phones out there. I personally am not into the latest phones, mine is plain, for calls and regular text, that's it. Course maybe I am not the norm.

I'm thinking that would be the easiest as well... sending them to a recorded hotline. Less steps for them and won't depend on having a phone to view a website. Just a click to call. But ultimately, the hotline will have to direct them to the website to order. Will keep you all posted... |
