If you're going for real, actual rapport... then I think four of the biggest keys are... (a) Paying attention to them. (b) Taking a sincere interest in what they have to say. (c) Empathize with them. Recognize where they're "at". i.e. if you see someone who looks frustrated, recognize their state. Don't try and change it straight away, first go where they "are". (d) Demonstrating you understand them and that ideally, you're like them in some way. |

I gather you are meaning with people online, not face to face. The most important thing you can do is listen. Listen to what your clients want and need. Understand them and let them know that you understand their needs. Assure them that you are there to help meet these needs. Then MEET these needs with free products and eventually your own products and upsells, cross sells, etc. This way you have a cusotmer for life not just for one sale. Give incredible value and you will keep customers happy. You want to make raving fans... |

Always be nice with your words and action. It is one of a marketer's attitude in convincing a customer to buy products.Rapport is not just just for business for everyday life.
