What's the best way to offer a product off your website?

Hi guys,

What would you recommend being the best way to offer a product off your website?

Currently I'm in the education niche, have a domain name and offer my product through jvzoo as the payment processor then direct them to a random URL/download page on my domain name.

There's gotta be an easier way to do this because the url I created is totally random 354j254y9524.html (I just mashed a bunch of numbers).

How can I have protected downloads and what do I need to do it? What is everybody using and seems to be popular?

Thanks guys!

JT

Build a site using Wordpress. Install the woocommerce plugin (or whatever ecommerce plugin you like). Add your product. Your done. People can now purchase your product through your site.

There is plenty of other ways to do this. Maybe take a look at shopify as well.

I would agree a blog is a great way to advertise a product off your site. In this example, EasyShip Products the owner has placed a blog that shows all the product deals for the week that will be advertised. It is a good way to get traffic to your site as well.

The interesting thing about product promotion is that people are always seeking to learn.

This is actually a very important marketing avenue that you can take.

The problem with most marketers is that they think that people automatically want their product.

This is a serious problem because there’s no trust built at that point.

If you want people to buy anything from you, you must first get them to trust you.

However, for them to trust you, they must first like the options they have.

For them to like an option, they must first know enough about the niche where the option appears in.

You see how daunting and challenging this is?

Unfortunately, too many marketers jump straight at the trust stage.

They turn a blind eye to the know-and-like stage.

Not surprisingly, most of them don’t make any money.

You have to approach selling products off your website this way and educate people.

You have to meet them regardless of where they are in the know-like-trust stage.

If search engines send you people that are in the know stage, make sure that you have content that give them all the information they need to know about your niche and appreciate the sub-category of solutions that your solution is in.

If they arrive at you through like stage – base keywords, then it’s imperative that you make a strong case regarding why the particular category of solutions that your product falls in is the best choice in their particular situation.

    It’s all about persuasion.

Unfortunately, it just takes time to master.

It takes quality content and you need to link up your signals properly.

Otherwise, you’re not going to make a sale.

I use Easy Digital Downloads on my site. It's a (free) plugin - with lots and lots of extensions for various types of add-ons (you can pay for).

Another option is Gumroad - free, but they take a percentage of the sale. They just added an affiliate option.
