    Don't direct link. Build a list. If you want, redirect your new subs to the offer you wanted to direct link to, but try to build a list above everything. Having an asset is much better than generating some quick cash.

    There's no typical step by step process for direct linking brother, you just use the affiliate link and directly insert it in your ads, hence the name, direct linking..

    However, I would request you to learn about landing pages first and use them!

      thanks for you replys, but im actually wishing to test a few landing pages and sales pages with direct linking to see if they convert before building out the site.

        Sounds like you have a site you are trying to build,but you just want to send some traffic to see how it converts. You could send some mobile traffic, Solos, or Pay Per Click Traffic like Bing Ads. Just use the URL of the page you want to test in your ads.

    As mentioned above, there isn't really much to direct linking. Just give the link the affiliate company gives you and send traffic to it. They should have different direct links for each of their landing pages.

    If you are just trying to see if an offer converts, a few solo ad providers will let you direct link to the sales page you are promoting. Just need to do some research on the ones that do. If you just want to bomb the sales page with random traffic I'd try a facebook fan page fiverr gig or a twitter gig from a person with tons of followers.

    Direct linking is just when you take your affiliate link somewhere. It could be on a blog or in an email or on a forum and so on. With that said, it is, generally speaking, not a good practice (unless you're just sending out an e-mail to your list). For instance, if you have a blog, people are going to want to read a review of the product you are promoting before they buy it. If you want to promoting something in your forum signature on most forums, you need a landing page (i.e. link to a product review). I hope this makes sense.

      If you do direct linking to an affiliate offer, at least use a 301 redirect using your own domain. That way you can change easily the affiliate link later on.

      For example, use your own domain www.mydomain.com/offer1/ to redirect to the affiliate offer.

    The best thing you could do if you want to test you LP conversions is to use Website optimizer by google!

        hey guys,

        Thanks for the reply, well I'm just carrying out a few test before i build out a site, otherwise last thing i want is to waste time building a site only to find it doesn't convert.

        i was looking at meta tag refresh and iframes, and was also wondering how to track them?

        but so long as i stick to the guidelines for the networks i should be ok well only way to find out is to test.

    not sure what you mean! Ideally you want to be leveraging your marketing efforts and building a list. You can direct link and get an idea of your EPC's and then create a funnel around that to work on building your own traffic supply at the same time.

    Alot of people do direct linking. Most fail - miserably. Like the homie said above, i would build a list and promote the product to them. Much easier. I know direct linking *seems* simpler and easier, and more reasonable to do... but more often than not, it's quite the contrary.
