I've been trying to Digg some of my websites but everytime I log in and input my url, Digg gives me this message --
"An unknown fatal exception has occurred. Whoa! Something blew up. If you think you reached this error in error please do not hesitate to contact support." Anyone know what this means?? |

Have you contacted Digg support? That would be the first thing I would do.

I know because I'm banned from digg. It's run by a bunch of muppets, anyway. This part just means, don't hesitate but we'll ignore you even if you do. | |

Gotta agree with Rezbi here
![]() I signed up for a Digg account while I was at a coffeeshop a few years ago and got banned the first time I tried to Digg something. Think it must have been the coffeeshop's IP. I was a good girl back then :P, so I tried and tried and tried to contact support. No dice. Eventually I just created another account on another IP. No prob!

Unless it's a temporary error, this means they banned you. They'll typically do this because they'll either detect the use of multiple accounts, some kind of bot or automated software, or some other attempt at manipulation of the system from the same IP address.
They'll also sometimes ban you if they see that you only submit stories from your domain, and those stories happen to be "spammy" in their minds. Sometimes it's best to mix in other, more popular sites when making submissions...or to slow the rate of submissions from your own site to 1-2 per day. Reset your IP (or try a proxy), or try submitting something with a new account to a different domain, and you should be able to isolate the problem pretty quickly. |

digg don't waste time in banning people! I have been banned by them several times. Try logging into your account with your details and you will know for sure then as to whether or not they actually banned you.

Banning people doesn't solve the problem.
First of all if someone is innocent of getting banned and they don't have support to fix the problem then The website is loosing good people and on the other hand someone that is totally wrong and should be banned. They just get a different computer and log in under a new IP and their in again. The first person that was innocent never again goes to that site (boycotts it) Like me. So the site looses the good ones and incourages the bad ones. Makes no since to me. |

That seems strange.
Couldn't they have just created a message stating: "sorry your are banned" or something. At least you wouldn't have the guess work. |

I think I was banned because some idiot complained I threatened to go around and stick something so far up their behind (broomstick) they wouldn't be able to sit down again - or words to that effect.
Or it could have been just going around and beating the c'rap out of them. I mean, would you believe getting banned for something like that? I mean, I'm certain it's not like that moron had never been threatened before. ![]() Do I jest? Who knows? I know my rights.
