It's a tough one because if you're looking at businesses and companies I think a lot of the time they would like to go local, purely for the fact that they can build a real relationship with the designer.

All my jobs I have gone to meetings with the client and built a working relationship with them.

I think your best option would be to maybe do some freelancing stuff. There are a fair few designers looking to outsource their work to others so you might be able to find some business there.

As for looking for business in other countries, I have anywhere between 3-10 calls a day from overseas web designers offering to build me a website, so the competition is stiff.

    Good luck!

I think you should work freelance sites and - best idea - hook up with some marketing companies if you want to sell in US (or UK etc)

No offense but your English on the ad is kind of....well...not good.. - many misspellings and stilted language....so cold calling will be hard...not to mention as stated many americans are getting sick of the calls from overseas

No...I don't speak other languages so good for you - but then again I don't post on other countries forums or try to sell them stuff with a translator program haha

I think you could reach out to an overworked US webdesigner or a US marketing person who is better at seo, social media etc than at actual web design etc. It will be a lot easier to contact marketing firms than trying to call or email small biz owners one by one.

IF you decide to deal direct, I would suggest getting an American to proofread and fix your copy...and getting people with as least accent as possible to make the calls. Good luck

If I were you, I'd get in touch with OUTBOUND call centers based in the Philippines that would contact US local businesses on your behalf.

I'm not sure if some of them work PURELY OFF commission but I'm sure some sort of deal can be done.

You can also try Indian outbound CCs.
