I am looking at a company called yesmail(dot)com to do some emailings from. They provide lists to do emailings to, and send the emails. The lists are 35 cents each email, and a min of 1,000 per purchase. The lists seem to be pretty well tailored to the businesses I am looking to approach. The service also costs $30/month.

Has anyone had any experience or know of anyone who has dealt with yesmail before. Also, does $350 for 1,000 emails sound reasonable?

I can name some of their customers but you may not succeed in getting a feedback (they are too big and you're too small ): Kodak, PayPal, Warner Bros, Avon, etc.

In my opinion, barring some kind of really special circumstance that hasn't been laid out here, there is absolutely no way you could see ROI from that.

The reason it is 35 cents per is because it is business to business lists. They have other lists that are just lists for 11 cents per email. This is starting to sound like it is not that great of an opportunity.
