Hey there.
I have a forex blog and I spent around 450 bucks on it. SEO, backlinkg, PPC and everything. All the best services from here on WF. Its been already 3 months and no results. No PR, no traffic, no rankings. What shall I do?

Maybe I should choose a low comp niche? I just feel like crying LOL

Thank you!

What kind of Content are you putting in your forex blog?

Is it quality or just plain crappy?

Is it personable and coming from a unique point of view or is it dry and unprofessional?

      These variables are very important!

You can have all that other stuff you mention but if your actual content sux then it is game over

      Period!!

Are you offering a unique point of view on Forex? Is there a reason for people to be talking about and encouraging others to visit your site?

If you're doing any paid advertising, you must have some at least slightly qualified traffic. Do you have any way of capturing those leads? Do you use retargeting?

When you're relying entirely on SEO, you have to consider the size of the body of water you're in. Put a little net down in a huge ocean, and what do you expect? Put a big net across a small lake, and you'll get a different result.

We as readers don't have a lot of detail. For all we know the site's copy is terrible, articles are low quality, and there's no reason at all for the few people who do find it to stick around.

Or maybe it's the opposite, and something else is the issue. Hard to diagnose without knowing facts.

Sorry to hear that man, your $450 would have better spent with paid advertisement in my opinion in the very niche..

Could have build fresh and responsive list

Sounds like you have all the ingredients needed to generate traffic. From what it seems to me is that you actually have a problem enticing the people that go to your site to stay and read on.

Is the information on your site of good quality? And how organized have you made it for your readers to pick up? You might want to look into how other people carry their Forex blogs. Pick up the points that you feel are good and integrate them into your own site.

OP did mention PPC. But weird if even that doesn't result in some traffic.

Perhaps you need a mentor? There are mentors in every niche, including Forex. A mentor will charge a fee for his or her service, but what you pay is minimal compared to what you could make through following his or her advice. Keep smiling!

Just because you spent $450 on a website doesn't necessarily mean that your project would be successful.

It seems that you haven't really outlined what type of SEO you use, what type of backlinking.

    You also mentioned PPC.

There's a big difference between 7-search PPC and ad words PPC.

Even in ad words, different PPC words yield different results compared to other groups of words.

You really haven't laid out what you actually did to produce zero results.

Also, three months is a relatively short period of time when it comes to SEO.

Unless you're using blackhat techniques, three months is just too soon to see significant results.

    Why?

Your niche, Forex, is extremely competitive; everybody and his dog is trying to rank for subniches there.

You haven't really given us enough information to help you.

Also, your timing may be premature.

Lastly, I'm sorry to break this to you, but if you are trying to compete in a highly competitive niche, $450 is not going to cut it.

I saw your FRONT page. Regrettably, it is like a million other front pages. There was no wow. Put more time into making your front page - super amazing. Other wise, people will not click on your other pages. Glad that you use images. However, most of these pictures look like stock photos that you find on 99% of the other foreign exchange or stock market sites and they do not have any pizzazz.

Here are some items to correct:

    1) COURSES
The web site talks about the importance of forex training courses. However, you do not describe any.

I still remember seeing the legendary trader George Fontanills create some training courses. He spent a lot of time preparing. A list of good forex courses is missing. CREATE ONE!

    2) TUTORIALS
Like you do not have any. Please provide links to tutorials and create some. For example, you can place them on udemy or you tube.

    3) STRATEGIES
All of us need FX trading strategies, we agree. However, you do not describe in detail what they are. Do list a few and provide links to other ones. That part of your site is missing.

Please list the main FX trading strategies and which ones beginners can us.

For example, describe how an FX trader would use a moving average.

Very sad. If you want to increase your site page rank & traffic, you should choose the Do-follow link more than the No-follow link. because the Do-follow link increase both site traffic & page rank at the same time while the No-follow link increase your site traffic only. Thanks a lot.

$450 is not going to rank a site for squat in most niches, and especially not in the forex niche. Try adding a few zeroes to that if you want to rank in that niche.

There are a ton of other people trying to make money in that niche. Unless you really know what you are doing when it comes to marketing and you have a serious bankroll, I would not bother with that niche. You are fighting a very difficult battle to even get noticed, much less actually make any money.

I have found out that when people choose NICHES they usually pick the wrong one...

They think their heads let me go where the money is and pick a topic they know nothing about and just put together a website that offers no value to people and expect to get rich?

My question to you is how much do you know about forex?

Knowing a niche enables you to:

    1. Know the language
    2. Know the culture
    3. Know the problems

    Is your site solving problems?

I know personally I wouldn't want any advice for forex from anyone who doesn't know it inside out...

    Especially someone without any results...

Have you had any REAL results with forex?

I had a buddy who was trying to start in Internet Marketing field and picked article marketing to start with... He never wrote an article but was going to teach others about it?????

But what he did know was gardening. He had a full garden in his backyard and knew everything as far as seeding, irrigation, plants, weather, seasons, etc... He could talk about it for hours to anyone and its fascinating to hear him talk about it.

So why would he focus on a blog about article marketing when he knows Gardening?

What is it that you know?

If it's forex stick with it if not choose what you know

3 months is not a long time to conclude that something is not working. I believe success to some extend has to do with what you focus on. If you focus on adding value and helping rather than making money then you will be able to persevere as long as it takes until that value starts translating into dollar signs.

I have checked your site. To be honest... I have been where you have been and you will have to make mistakes and learn from them.

Your site is not great and not in the current century. Look at blogs, websites and how eye catching engaging they are.

    And here is your problem!

    "SEO, backlinkg, PPC"

Is this is your primary objective? There is a ton of ways to get traffic to your site and engage with your audience and keep them interested. It is not about being number on google... it is not about SEO... it is not about back linking... PPC... I could go on... this can all HELP yes... SEO is exactly that, search engine optimization to optimize your site, secondary objective! back linking... people will do this for you once you have a quality site... you are missing something... PRIMARY GOAL... those things are SECONDARY GOALS...

    Good luck!

picking niches and not researching it completely is now one of the biggest problems newbies face these days

the internet is starting to get saturated in many of the SERP rankings

just look at who is ranking this should tell you if lifting a finger to compete makes sense

unless you have the money or know how the forex niche is a tough one to conquer

Forex is a very competitive niche and you really need a good spin in order to make you different from your competitions. A lot of people are promoting the same product so being different in this niche is something important.

If your going to pay for SEO I suggest you work with one expert or company and keep in contact with them through out the process.

Make sure they give you weekly reports on Specific keyword ranking and backlinking, if you have never ranked a page yourself, then don't just buy a bunch of backlink packages.

Even PPC takes some training and experience, especially if your doing forex niche your going to need a lot more than $450. The average cpa offer for forex is a $200 payout.

My best advice would not be to go at this SEO or PPC, $450 is your 3 month budget, try going the forum route, find communities and groups talking about forex and send them to your site (not your current site)

You gotta work on that site, it looks like you spent $40 on some site that been sold 1000 times, you should spend your money on the actual website and time in forex communities.
