Does anyone use methods like the Kevin Sousa fb formula or frank Parker vvx formula for affiliate marketing and do these products give results as promised in their sales pitches like thousands of $$ in commissions daily?

I'm not too sure what those two formulas consist of but i vote for the lester russells formula. The formula for mine is one part paid traffic, one part free traffic and a generous amount of time and effort for it to bear fruit.

Internet marketing isn't a overnight get rich scheme. Otherwise the lotto would have long since died.

Due to the rapid changing nature of the internet, there are no fix formulas for traffic generation. The truth is, traffic generation is an art.

Any promise of results is based upon the action you put in and the time you spend mastering the specific strategy.

I can vouch from my own experience that it is all too easy to attempt too many strategies at the same time becoming at best average in all of them and certainly a master of none.

Whether any specific strategy will work for you will depend at the most basic level on whether your target audience actually uses the platform you intend to advertise on.

Know your target audience and adjust your traffic generation strategy accordingly.

    I can't recommend either product.

Your best bet is to decide on one source of traffic (ppc, fb ads, media buys, fan pages, groups, videos, etc) and take action whilst learning. Optimize your use of that traffic source as much as possible and then move onto the next one and so forth.

    Cheers - Tom

I was just in a webinar this a.m. with my mentor who was discussing traffic and traffic generation. He is a big believer that we only need two kinds of traffic -- one paid source and one free source. From the paid source (for me that's solo ads from a trusted vendor) you get cold traffic that goes into your funnel for upsells and membership services where they get warmed up and learn to like you and trust you and buy some of the higher priced products you've developed. From the free traffic (could be forum post signatures or blog posts or whatever you spend a considerable amount of time working on to get people to know, like, and trust you before trying to sell to them) warm or hot traffic that is much more likely to purchase sooner because they already have a relationship with you.
Experienced IMers already know this stuff.
This reply is for Rhonda15 as this question was her first post.

    Hope this helps.

    What are those methods?

Traffic is either paid or free.
Free is lots of time, slow, and a challenge to solve.
Paid is lots of money, slow, fast and a challenge to solve.

The problem with traffic formulas generated by so-called gurus is that they easily become stale.

In fact, the more heavily hyped a particular traffic generation technique is, and the more it's linked to a particular guru, the more problems you probably would have with that traffic generation technique.

    Why?

Think about it, it's actually common sense.

The more heavily hyped a traffic generation technique is, especially a free one, the more competition you have.

And the more people are looking to generate that traffic, the less of that actual traffic may be left for you.

    You see how this works?

    It's actually common sense.

So instead of focusing on heavily hyped traffic generation methods that are often linked with certain IM gurus, focus instead on content-based traffic generation.

Simply hire a virtual assistant to find blogs and websites in your niche.

Hire an outsource writer to create guest posts, or you can write your own, and then build a solid brand this way.

You have to remember that the name of the game in 2015 as far as making money online is concerned is to develop a solid brand.

You can't do that without credible content.
