Need Help Monetizing a Niche

Help!

I have a site that gets 15k unique visitors a month. Most of my visitors are young from about 12-25 y/o. I stopped working on the site in february because I was having trouble finding ways to monetize it, just randomly decided to checked the stats today. I had 15k visitors last month and am getting 300 uniques a day and my site is a PR 3 now, pretty crazy. I just feel that even though there is not that much money in this niche I still should be able to make some decent profit from this?

Realistically I can get my visitors to increase to 100k a month, but don't want to invest unless I find a way to make money? I was thinking maybe some CPA iq quizzes or something.

Any help? you can also PM me. Thanks

Affiliate programs for iTunes, iPods, MP3 players, concert tickets, posters, t-shirts, magazines, DVDs, video games.

Affiliate or CPA programs for ringtones.

Selling links, banner ad sales, perhaps through 3rd party advertising sites.

Just make sure you don't collect any personal information from the 12 year olds!

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

Exactly. Make sure to read the TOS from each program first before implementing.

hi! We are new here on WF. We would like to know how to get a lawful copyright of lyrics and mp3 downloads that we could post on our website. we have joined some affiliate programs for it but we can't find our target goal which is to get the legal permission for posting the lyrics on our web.

Anyone can help us? we would like to sell mp3 music downloads from affiliate programs. anyone knows MP3/music affiliate programs with lyrics legal permit?

        Thank you!

I don't know much about CPA, but ive heard that its a great option to promote to niches that are young and less likely to buy products

CPA or Cost Per Acquisition is often an option to choosing an ongoing revenue share. Usually, it requires they sign up for a FREE or at "Discounted Sample" rate for the trial, enter their CC details, so the hope from the vendor's perspective is that they don't cancel before the rebill/recurring monthly billing kicks in.

Hence, you get paid 1x for the initial referral to the vendor for the CPA offer. Then, in most cases, they offer a revenue share, whereby, you receive a % or commission on the initial sale and the monthly recurring for the life of the customer, until they cancel.

I generally opt for the latter; revenue share, but, a lot of people cancel before getting rebilled, so I need to do some serious testing on the CPA offers myself.

-There also may be some variations with certain CPA offers, but the affiliate programs I have general operate under these pretenses.

I like the selling banner ad sales. Can you recommend me some good companies, and some realistic numbers if you have any experience?

You need to create a few Sales Letter or Squeeze style pages that are comparable to your site. You will need a comparable or better than design.

    I would recommend the following:
    1. Squeeze Page 1 -- Offer a Free Ebook or digital download related to you niche
    2. Squeeze Page 2 -- Video Style squeeze page with a custom video

Next, add these links to your site, as well as promote these two squeeze pages. Using an autoresponder, build a list.

After you do this, your next item to do on the existing site is to:
    1. Put an autoresponder on the list.
    2. Use a Funnel system -- Add Some free items which will allow them to get on a specific list, then provide a one time offer. ONLY do that once for your existing site.
    3. Do some surveys & find out what your people want. Do 2 weeks of surveys. Use survey gizmo, or others.

So, far with this process, you have built at least 3 various lists of people interested in at least 3 different items. Each list, offer products related to your niche. I believe you stated music/pop something like that.

I know a lot of products that are high yielding that you can use. You can also ask yourself, what do young people involved in want to do with Entertainment? Answer: Be IN IT! Find either digital or physical products that get people involved in the industry -- writing music, producing music, etc. I wouldn't just blast them with ads however. Give them a reason to be enticed with what you have to offer.
I feel this is a much better method vs. just throwing ads on your site. You have a strategic process of adding value & growing the brand of your site.

I think post #4 and post #7 about sums it up. You could also sell ad space, install some adsense or push some Amazon music related affiliate products with a store page or widget.

If it's music, you should have no problem monetizing, as you could go as far as taking darren_cooper's advice and select some Clickbank products like learn guitar, how to rap or whatever... and once that list is built you'll be able to print money on demand provided you segregate your subscribers or target their specific interests.

Meanwhile, I need those kind of traffic #'s and I'll be all set.

    All the Best,

You are getting a reasonable amount of visitors and my advise is that you should Monetize it. There are many methods to do it starting from affiliate marketing to banner ads. But never try to over do it.
