Hi Guys
I've been a member of this forum for quite some time and have bought my fair share of great information in the form of WSO's. However, sometimes I've been ripped off by service providers who just don't provide what they say they will - or by rubbish WSO's that are just a lot of rehashed, vague and badly written crap. This is a great forum, and I've personally made $1000's from ideas I've read here - and it's a great community too - so I'm not having a go at the forum itself. However, it seems that in the rare instances when people do get ripped off, they don't feel they can post a negative review in case they get drawn into a longwinded 'tit for tat' slanging match that may end up damaging their reputation more than the unscrupulous seller they sought to expose. So to remedy this and ensure that the 99% of decent, hardworking Warriors get continued access to great WSO's and service providers, I suggest we introduce a simple 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' ratings system for WSO's - available only to buyers of the product or service in question. This could be an anonymous system which enabled people to post their views without fear of appearing to 'shoot down' an honest but misguided attempt at providing value - but also allowed disgruntled buyers to post their negative review without fear of reprisal. The amount of buyers' 'thumbs ups' or 'thumbs downs' for each WSO could be posted next to the title. This would have the effect of giving really great WSO's the chance to rise to the surface (such as everything that Jack Duncan provides for example) - whilst weeding out bad WSO's based on the testament of actual buyer experience. This is turn would help the whole Warrior community to both sell and consume excellent information on Internet Marketing - which is why I joined in the first place. What do fellow Warriors think of this idea - or something similar? Best wishes Loz :-) |

website/database and the Forum. Not easy to do, maybe even not possible. See also this thread: WSO report is worst thing I ever paid for - what to do? Didier | ||

While I think factual, balanced feedback is important in the WSO section, I'm just not a big fan of the anonymous approach.
One - there's no obligation to bicker. Folks have the option to participate in a back and forth slanging match...or not. Two - introducing anonymity into the process just invites manipulation with competitors trying to tank someone's product and hiding their identities. It's just too tempting for the less savory among us. Transparency is key. We have to stand up and be willing to mean what we say and say what we mean. Cindy |

I agree that anonymity is not a good idea. Too open to potential abuse that way.
If a person gives a rational review, even if it is negative, why would that reflect upon their reputation? Plus, a thumbs up or thumbs down button wouldn't give an accurate picture. If I bought a product that was too simplistic for me, I might not like it and get a refund but that doesn't mean it's a bad product - for the right market segment. Tina G |

The star rating was removed for abuse (I believe). In other words, it's very easy to have your friends vote you up and your competitors down. Anonymous proxies, etc. add to the problem.
I like it as is. |

Thanks Guys
Some good points there. I didn't realise there had been a review system that had been withdrawn. I can see how such a system could be open to abuse :-) |

The best review system is our own due diligence.
Research the buyer - look at posts/threads they've made. Look at comments in their previous WSO's (you can use Warriorplus.com to do that). Taking the time to do that can save frustration - and money. It can also lead to some great buys. kay |
