Social Bot Is Spidering My site..BUT!

The site is a comparison site, and it's got over 25,000 pages. Social Bot hasn't made a dent in the number of pages to spider yet, and the problem is that tomorrow (Saturday) an engineer is going to check out the internet and will interupt the process.

Question, will Social Bot pick up where it left off, or will it start all over again?

Hi,

From what I know, it starts all over again. What I do when I have to cancel in the middle for some reason, I look at what site it was last doing, and then when I get ready to start it up again, I make a new profile for sites to send to, and exclude all the ones it has already been to. This way I don't go back spamming those sites.

I'm not familiar with Social Bot James, so when I ran it successfully for the first time, this site is one I wanted to promote using Social Bot. I didn't realise that being a mobile phone site it would have so many pages. I wasn't aware that there could be so many.

Regarding 25,000 pages, I want to bookmark as many pages* as possible within reason for the back links. Unless I'm doing something wrong?

I seriously hope you have a plan because if you plan on bookmarking that many pages with 1 or 2 accounts then you are going to be seriously disappointed when you get banned...

I have done close to 800,000 bookmarks since feb, but I also have thousands of accounts, with the profiles filled in, friend request, additional post, and etc ... I have also not bookmarked the same site over and over...

This does sound ignorant but I added the sites that I have accounts with, but when I spidered the sites I didn't realise that I was in effect bookmarking them?.

I don't mind people advising me on this stuff. It would be very much appreciated and I see where you are coming from about having a plan.

All and any help appreciated.

Spidering them does not bookmark them, or atleast it should not... I do not use this software, I have my own system. Anyways my point is you can not just go run around and bookmark your sites over and over. So many people make this huge mistake and then when they get banned they are like "Why all I did was bookmark my site"..

Well, bookmarking sites do not like spam and if you bookmark the same site over and over then it is spam... Thus this is why you need to figure out a plan and with that many pages you better be ready to create many different accounts but again creating many different accounts you never log into is a "bad idea".

I thought You had the software also. It allows you to bookmark the pages as many times as is safe to do.

just to confirm: I have SocialBot...spidering does NOT submit
them...it just loads the pages into the program to get them
ready to submit.

Hey Brian - you can set a parameter in SocialBot to limit how many pages to spider per day. As we say in the help file, if you're trying to spider more than say, 500 pages, it's best to break it down over a number of days - SocialBot will pick right up where it left off, so it' no problem starting and stopping.
