Could a Romance Tour Be Turned Into An Affiliate Program?

I have a friend who has a company that takes groups of guys down to a major South American city approximately every 3-4 months and puts on big social events where local women come to meet the guys. It's basically an introduction agency for people interested in getting married.

His average trip has 15-20. His biggest one was 30+.

Typically they're will be 500-600 women in attendance. It looks like a student assembly at Vasser College!

I know he would be willing to pay commission for anybody who could drive traffic AND registrations to his event.

Is that something that could be turned into an affiliate campaign? His base rate is $895 per registration.

Regards,
Art

BTW: he met his wife in this particular city and he's had over 450 successful marriages as a result of relationships started on one of these trips. The guys all have great time and the women in the town love him too. It's a totally legitimate program (i.e. system).

Sure, I am assuming for the rate he charge he would have a decent travel site, and good budget to launch and run affiliate program. In addition, a good affiliate manager who knows what he doing. Launching an affiliate program and wait for people to come will not be sufficient, he need to pick the right network for his program and willing to spending on advertising the affiliate program ( after creating the right criteria for his affiliates to join ),

Well, I can tell you that he doesn't have much of a budget at all. Over the years, his prices have been lower than anything comparable so he really hasn't made much money. Plus, this business is changing due to the fact that it's so easy for people, even internationally now, to connect on their own through other sites...although there aren't many anymore who do the 'live events' like he doesn.

I also know for a fact that most of the other companies (and especially the biggest ones) make most of their revenue from additional services like flowers, letter writing and translations, phone calls, etc. It's a very tough industry in many ways...and not totally honest either.

But I had this idea that he basically does have a good product. He only brings guys to Barranquilla, Colombia and it is relatively untouched. All the other agencies who used to do tours here no longer do.

It has seemed to me that he just needs to get a better website and be more consistent, and perhaps a bit more sophisticated, in his marketing. My thinking was that some sharp affiliates might be better at driving traffic to their offers than he is to his site on his own.

I realize of course that he/we will need to offer a better sales funnel and better sales-support material but I was wondering if our general type of service would be of interest to affiliate marketers.

Of course it can be, now if you're asking if it could be successful it's impossible to tell without testing it out
